These pliers do work well. They cut braid easily and the the split ring end of the pliers works as it should.Im giving these pliers a so so review because they are very small, the lock mechanism really doesn't line up.well and imo, these, as a daily user on or around saltwater would not hold up. They're great for rigging at home out of the harsh saltwater elements

The pliers were. Smaller then I thought they would be plus the snap ring part is a little hard to use. They are good for cutting braided line. Haven’t got to use the hook remover yet

So far so good. Cutting braid without issue. Only time will tell how long it holds up. But since I paid barely anything for them I should get another pair for backup.

It is the easiest to use split ring pliers I have tried. The compct size really helps when dealing with fishing lures. The only problem I found was that it created a little more separation in the ring. ( this may be caused by the replacement hook size, though. All-in-all, it is the best I have tried.

Love this compact version of full size fishing pliers. (see photo of blue handle standard size 7.5" verses this 5" black handle version). For the price I was expecting something cheaper. However, this set is well made made with a sturdy carrying case - have not used the additional hook clamp but would probably not use it on larger hooks - it does not appear very strong. Pliers are great to carry in pocket for quick fixes on the river, or away from tackle box.

I bought 2 of these to help me take out piercings that the balls were stuck on & it worked, so now my husband & father n law both get a new pair of fishing pliers 😅 they are nice though and durable

Great for the price. The locking latch is tight but that may be an indication of it’s durability. The carry case is a nice addition and haven’t decided if I’ll have a use for the hook remover yet.

A little small in my hand but easy to handle. Spring open pliers make them convenient to use. Fixed a few crank baits with mangled hooks. Beats tearing up fingernails to change hooks.
