Description

The Flux DS Snowboard Binding is here to change the way you look at freestyle riding forever. Its mid-range flex, ultra-light feel, and winged highback strike an ideal balance between full freestyle mobility and all-mountain response. Its Ultima baseplate is made from what Flux calls a performance blend, essentially giving you a nice dose of responsiveness for riding anything on the mountain. Winged for maximum leverage when you're pressing and tweaking grabs, the Ultima Wing highback gives you torsional flex with plenty of heel-to-toe response for carving. Helping to align your knees and hips in a more comfortable, natural stance, the DS' Hybrid footbed provides natural canting with its softer EVA instep and harder edge sensors on the outside. Its Absolute fit ankle strap is specifically designed for freestyle snowboarding, striking an optimum balance between support and mobility. This ankle strap is curved to enhance comfort and response, especially on the outside of the strap. On the inside of the strap, you'll notice a cored-out section that's much less dense. This reduces weight, but more importantly allows for extra freedom of motion when you're tweaking grabs and styling out tricks. New for this year, Flux re-designed their toe strap to accommodate over-the-tip and over-the-top wear, should you opt for a more traditional feel. Another cool innovation comes in the way of a urethane mounting disc. This 4-hole disc (Channel disc available upon request from Flux) flexes underfoot, helping to reduce the 'dead spot' inherent with a stiff mounting disc.
