It seems like there are three manufacturers of an item like this with similar descriptions. I selected this one as the most affordable at the time, although there were no reviews. Thought I’d post one to reassure others.This item does exactly what it says it does. It pops out instantly, collapses back just as fast, and with some learning of how to pull it stops at any height in between. It has both the hand strap and the shoulder strap. It feels super stable to sit on. At tallest it’s a smidge taller than I find comfortable (I’m short) so probably reasonable for most people. The top and bottom are smooth plastic. If you’ve ever sat on, you know, a stool, well that’s what sitting on it feels like.My intended purpose was to support soccer-momming and I’d looked at a whole bunch of camp chairs but most are really low to the ground and way too reclined for my taste - I’m watching a game at ground level, not relaxing and gazing at the stars. I wanted to be able to sit relatively upright and have it tall enough that I’m not struggling to stand back up, and for it to be easy to throw in the bag and bring along. This easily meets those expectations.

We ordered these stools for a Top Gun Party and Movie night on the USS Midway in San Diego. We found out later that they did not provide seating so we panicked and looked on-line for something we could carry-in with ease. These stools are perfect for just that. They're basically a disk with a strap, that telescopes to a stool - ingenious! Didn't make the show for various reasons but plan to use them for other events👍🏼 Would recommend!

The pictures are pretty self explanatory, I think. That's exactly how it looks. It does have a little bit of weight to it, but it isn't really heavy. I appreciate that the shoulder strap is available. It can handle a good amount of weight and it's relatively easy to adjust out and in. I think it's a great product. I would buy this again as a gift.

What I didn't like: it's hard to change to different heights. But it doesn't matter much unless more than one person is using the stool. I use the tallest setting and there's very little need to alter that setting.

Bought this for our Motorhome and camping. My wife has taken it and refuses to give it back. Looks like I'll order another one so we will have a his and hers. Don't leave home without one.

Very handy instead of sitting on the floor! can take it when going for a walk when there is no place to sit and rest for a few minutes! My husband LOVES this stool.

It is exactly what it said it was. I got it for hiking. It is lightweight and small enough as not to become cumbersome and I now have a clean strong place to sit anywhere. Perfect.

It’s very durable and folds up easily! My man was impressed!
