I believe A1489 is a mini 2 so it should be fine. Looks like only one that will not fit is the mini 6th generation. Product details say “Fancity PU Leather Folio Case for 7.9 inch iPad Mini 5, Mini 4, Mini 3, Mini 2, Mini 1. --- NOT COMPATIBLE WITH 2021 iPad Mini 6th Generation 8.3 inch.” Good luck
