Well packed. Works perfectly.
Saw DDR in an arcade a couple of weeks ago, and decided to break out the old PS2 to play it at home. I have almost all of the DDR games. Unfortunately my mats were all trash. Probably because of improper storage. I looked at all of the mats (for ps2) on Amazon and they all have a portion of “doesn’t work” reviews. I took a leap of faith on this mat. It arrived today (albeit a week after the original estimated date of arrival...). It was packed loosely in an oversized box, and was in perfect condition. Plugged it in, and it works flawlessly. Even got a new record (in game), right out of the gate! I’ll update the review if it fizzles out. I also bought an(“OSTENT PS2 to Xbox 360 Controller/Wheel/Dance Pad Adapter Converter Compatible for Microsoft Xbox 360”) so that I can use the PS2 mat on the DDR games that I have for the Xbox 360, since the regular USB mats all say they are not compatible with Xbox 360 (even though it has USB ports for controller connections...). Sounds suspect, but maybe the USB mats are wired differently internally than the standard 360 controller...???. Anyway, they haven’t arrived yet, but if they work when they do arrive, I’ll leave a review on that product also. Not being one to put all of my eggs in one basket, I also purchased the DDR Game Tough brand (“DDR Non-Slip Dance Pad for PS/PS2, Wii, Xbox and PC”), which has also yet to arrive. If it works, I’ll also leave a review on that product. If you’re in my same situation, I hope this helps you get up and running.

Do not buy from this seller, dance pads do not work
They say that they “fixed the lag” (whatever that means) but it’s super laggy and you can’t play with it.If you have any issues, go to Amazon directly. This seller posts a phone number that’s never answered (with no voicemail) and an email address which also goes unanswered.Honestly, the fact that the title says “no delay” in the title and that the mat lags shows that they’re knowingly selling bad product.Be careful with this seller, seems like a scam.

Practice Makes Perfect
Pros:- Foam Cushion really helps when playing barefooted on a hard floor- Portable- Easy to Set UpCons:- After a few uses, the circuitry shifts a little, so the buttons are no exactly at the arrows. Could be frustrating when in the middle of a combo and it gets messed up when you hit the arrow at the right time, but not the button.- Not as portable as the regular mats. Because of the foam insert, the only way to roll it up is to take out the foam insertOverall:Still does not beat playing at the arcade (Mostly because of the environment and busting moves in front of a crowd). It's a good practice mat, so you don't look like a complete noob at the arcade. Highly recommend for current and future arcade dancers.

No slipping! At all!
The media could not be loaded. I cannot express how AMAZING this mat is. The foam insert helps SO MUCH with the mat slipping against itself, not to mention against the floor. I feel safe and secure in dancing my days and weight away! Woohoo!

It worked ok for a little while
It works pretty responsively and good but after some use, it becomes totally useless. It's not very durable at all as the plastic cover top will start to rip and the arrow buttons become less responsive so you can't really enjoy the game.

showed up broken, "restocking fee" deducted for broken product
This showed up broken on day 1. Didn't work on PC or PS2. Sent in for a refund, they deducted $14 for "restocking fees" and other nonsense. Don't buy this unless you want to lose money returning a broken product.

Consider other options, if planning to use on carpet.
Nothing against seller. Delivery came on the day it said it would. Issue is with the product material. The bottom of the dance pad doesn't have the non-slip fabric that the original dance pad has. It comes with 4 stickies which you have to put on the corners of the dance pad and those should stick to the ground. They probably do very well sticking to a non-carpet floor, but it does not do it's job on carpet. The top of the dance pad is also a little slick as well. The dance pad came with a note saying not to wear socks which you can easily glide/slide(?) in, and I can see why. If I were a beginner or a new person not used to playing the game, I have a decent chance of slipping on the dance pad. I have noticed that, sometimes, if I put one of my feet in the center of the dance mat the back arrow registers as being stepped on. Not often does it happen, but I saw it during one song.

Great Mat!
I bought this mat back in 2007 and it is still perfect! i hadent played in a while and yesterday i tried it agaain and it is just like new! the 1 inch thickness is perfectly comfortable and its extremely responsive. it comes shipped in three different puzzle-like pieces that you must put together and then insert into the mat. it is high quality made and not plastic cheap looking. definitely a good investment for beginners to standard/heavy players. if you are looking into AAAing 10 feet songs, then you should go for something more professional but this mat is excellent for id say up to 8 feet. it barely moves (i have a tiled floor) and again its very responsive. i can definitely say it improved my scores. for the price, you cant go wrong
