This Balaclava is of the perfect material. It keeps the heads and skin warm enough. It maintains a comfortable temperature of the head and prevents sweating once you get warmed up. However, there is a design flaw in that if you breathe (unavoidable) and exhale, the exhaled air has only one route to escape that is up towards your eyes, your glasses get fogged up within seconds. Unless there is a constant breeze on your face the fog increases limiting your visibility and posing a great danger of accident during skiing. If you are going with a tailwind, the fog does not clear up. If they had perforations to let the air out through your nostrils rather than up towards your eyes, this stood a chance.

Out here in the West Texas Oilfields the wind can get up to 50 MPH and that stirs up a lot of sand, surprisingly this works great.

I've been spending a lot of time running in temperatures around 0 degrees Fahrenheit this lovely MN winter. For longer runs this can become dangerous so I bought this balaclava to protect my face. It does the job well! However, it is VERY lightweight. This is good for me because it means I can breathe through it without inhaling too much of my own CO2. However it also means it functions as more of a wind-blocker and won't actually make your face feel warm. Also, if you decide to pull the front part down under your chin in frigid temps, know that you probably won't be able to pull it back up for the rest of your time outside because it will freeze solid with the dampness from your breath. Even still, this item has become an essential part of my winter running gear.

ok. it is not the best look, but it kept my face warm on the chilly morning (photo) safari drives in open vehicles. It went from full head cover to covering ears/neck to just neck to wrist band on a single drive where scarfs seemed to be hard to keep from flying away. It is was the perfect weight - light enough to not make me sweat, but warm enough to keep me from wind/rain.

I bought this for when I weed eat certain areas with heavy grass or rocks where I would always get pelted in the face. This saved my face from the pain and oddly it's not hot even on the hot days. I love it

The material is great only reason I gave it 4 stars cuz it is tight on my head. Maybe I have a big head but they should consider making a bigger size or some stretch material. Overall I like it and still use it when I need to.

Works like a charm, if you wear glasses it fogs them up, but that's Pretty much with any mask. Mainly got it for protection from the sun since I have Vitiligo. 👍

I bought this for my boyfriend (as an electric engineer he sometimes gotta do field work) , so far so good, we both liked it, I mean, we didn't have any super high expectations, it looks just as the picture and you get what you pay for. It's made of a breathable fabric and well made, thin and light. It also fitted my boyfriend's head just fine.
