Great compact/ultra-light "cool" weather quilt.
I use this as a warm(er) weather camping quilt. I have a good (and expensive) 10 degree quilt for colder weather, but it's twice as heavy and at least twice the bulk of this one. This quilt is great for me down to maybe 50 degrees at night. For reference, I generally run warm and like to be very cool at night. I've used it into the lower 40s, but even I felt a bit chilly at that temp.As mentioned, the packed size and weight are a big advantage of this quilt, if the weather is warm enough that you can be comfortable. The unpacked size is a bit smaller than I would prefer (maybe an extra 3-4" would be perfect), but I'm 6'-3". Even so, I was able to be fully covered, shoulders to toes. There just not a lot of margin for someone my height. I would think this would be perfect for anyone under 6' tall.I'm not the type to sit around the fire with a quilt wrapped around me, and therefore the "wrapping" snaps don't server much purpose for me. That said, my adult kids got there hands on it when I had it laying out and just loved this feature.I'm happy with the quality of the quilt. This is not a huge puffy cold-weather quilt, so don't expect to go explore the frozen tundra with this, but if you want a compact, light-weight quilt for those cool southern spring/fall (or cool northern summer) nights, this just might fit the bill.

Works as advertised
Driving rain while watching a lacross game. Kept me warm and dry, at least untill the wind found a way to my back which I had not covered well. Should have used the snaps.

Becomes A Two Season Sleeping Bag
I have been so impressed with the quality, ultralight weight and warmth of this down blanket that I have been using it in place of my sleeping bag for camping. It is perfectly adequate just by itself for warmer nights, but with a few simple modifications, it keeps me warm and comfortable even when the air is 45 degrees F. I'm looking forward to testing it in even colder temperatures next fall. I have found that in cooler weather, the secret is to use this blanket as a camping quilt, so that you lay it OVER you, tucking the sides under your body. Camping quilts have become very popular with ultralight hikers, and their great versatility gives several advantages over sleeping bags. You can Google these if you're not familiar. Of course, an adequate sleeping pad under you is essential, just as with any sleeping bag.(Note: the blanket is shipped tightly compressed, and it may require several days or longer for the down to fully expand. Be sure to keep it in a roomy storage bag when it's not being used.)I found it beneficial to create a footbox with plastic snaps. This helps to prevent the light and slick blanket from sliding off while you are sleeping, and your feet stay quite warm. You can easily reconfigure to the open blanket if desired. The blanket has three snaps already installed that you can incorporate into the footbox, but a few more must be added. I found everything I need for $21 at the popular auction site: item # 201831863852. The kit includes K2 pliers, instructions, and size 22 KAM SNAPS (identical to the snaps on the blanket). Very easy to install, but be sure to carefully plan the placement of the snaps. Hopefully my photos will be helpful. BTW, adding several more snaps allows the joining of two blankets, which can still be used with or without footboxes. So many possibilities! To make the quilt even warmer, I have added a washable sleeping bag liner which can also be used by itself on warm nights. In cool weather, lie inside the liner and pull the quilt over you, with your feet in the liner inserted into the footbox. When it's even colder, use the quilt INSIDE the liner. Then, when you zip up the liner, it will close off air gaps and help to keep the quilt positioned around you. It works very well. I got the Vumos liner on Amazon for $18 with coupon, and it has been perfect. A long zipper allows it to open up, and, like the blanket, it is plenty roomy for me at 6' tall. And the Vumos has a wide hem at the edge under your chin, allowing for the simple installation of a draw cord to gather the liner and quilt snugly around your neck and shoulders when it's cold.Voila! An incredibly light and versatile sleeping bag/quilt system for use from late spring to early fall, total weight less than 2lbs, very compactable, and for around $100. I have bought three of these blankets from Get Out Gear; two for gifts, and the service has been outstanding.

Great for the price
I went from very skeptical to very impressed within 20 minutes. At first, this looks like a total waste of money. When you first open it, it's very, very, very flat and looks like it has hardly any down in it at all. However, let it loft for 20 minutes and you'll see a whole new blanket! I shined a light through it and went back to being skeptical as it doesn't look very full of down everywhere, however, yet again, once I covered with it, and became way too warm for inside, I became impressed yet again haha. Then, I took it out for a test at 33F while testing other backpacking gear and I'm using it two fold; to hang up in my tent and drape down over my upper body while watching movies. I didn't think to hang a thermometer, but after a few minutes I became very warm and then midway through my movie, I was taking off my sweatshirt and just wearing my thermal and a t-shit. It's near freezing outside remember. I'm sure it was well over 70F if not over 80F in my "tent within a tent" if you will. I totally forgot I was laying outside in 33F winter haha. It's going to work out great. The other thing I'm using it for, if need be, is to drape over my mummy bag (with a 0F comfort rating) in case I need it while sleeping, while out in the back country. It has a couple loops for some straps I'll add, so I just stitched on some loops on the other side too. This will hold it like any other backpacking quilt but MUCH cheaper! At only 1 lb, this will add FAR more than just another 10F or so, you get from adding a fleece liner. I would say, this will easily add 20, if not 30 more degrees to my sleeping bag, when strapped down, loosely (to keep it's loft) and I won't even bother with lugging the lb fleece like I also planned. I'll of course be testing this theory before going miles into the woods, but based on what it did for me hanging up over my upper body with a good 3' square worth of space up over my upper body and head, I'm sure this will add a lot of power to the sleeping bag and it's going to be great for back packing with it.It might not look like much and yeah for a little blanket, it looks pricey for what it is. Based on how it performed for me at 33F I'm VERY happy with what I payed. ($72 total in 2022)The other reviewers helped me decide. You guys got it right. It didn't look like it's worth it's cost and it doesn't in person either but it performs better than it's cost, so thanks guys!
