Maye Tanco Kid Pink Princess Castle Play-doll House and Snowflake Ice Castle for Your Little Princess

My grandson and my closest friend’s granddaughter have birthdays less than 3 weeks apart, and since the kids are so close in age they have become close friends. Therefore, this year I decided to celebrate and throw a combined party to celebrate their birthdays, in honor of both of them turning two years old.My friend’s granddaughter loved the Princess Castle Playhouse, but what surprised me was that my grandson loved it too.I was delighted that the castle was fast and easy to set up, and it is much larger and more spacious than it looks. It is approximately 4 ½ feet at the tallest point, which accommodated both children when they stood up and the inside diameter of about 3 ½ feet, is roomy enough for a few children to fit inside the castle together.My only slight concern was the stability of the Castle Playhouse. Sometimes children do the craziest things, both children were spinning themselves around inside the castle (their silly version of dancing). As the children spun themselves around, they would inadvertently become dizzy; lose their balance, tumble towards the side, and the castle would start to topple over. Although, they each thought that this was funny, I did not want any injuries, therefore an adult needs to be present in order to monitor ‘safe and active play’. I am not blaming the product, because we need to have reasonable expectations and monitor our own children’s playing activities. This is something that I had never even thought of until the kids started their ‘spin cycles’.I just wanted to share this experience, as a reminder that children come up with unique and unusual ways for play, and their impulsive ideas that as adults we may never even consider. I did let them continue spinning in the Castle, but taking turns, one at a time and under an adult’s supervision, as a safety precaution, in case we needed to keep the castle balanced.The Princess Castle Playhouse is a great gift for a youngster. It provides a perfect lightweight hide-away, and they are still visible through the see-through mesh on the sides of the tent. It was easy to set up, I love that it folds flat for easy space saving storage, and has its own pink zippered storage container. Now I need to find a similar play tent for my grandson.I have provided a video of my grandson, spinning inside the tent. Additionally there are pictures as a reference for the exterior size, and the inside proportions as the children sat and spread out in a comfortable and leisurely manner.

Super cute little castle that is much more sturdy and roomy than I expected. While setting it up and taking it down, Ive sat in it and there is definitely enough room for me and my daughter together. All three of my younger girls (ages 4-8 yrs) can play and pretend comfortably in it together. Also, the material is thin, but seems to hold up well without getting snagged and the little banner triangles on top are reinforced with material that keeps them standing up straight. Easy to set up and super cute.

2 years later and my 9 year old daughter still takes it out of the box and uses it for a few days at a time for homework, reading, etc. It has a tiny tear at the bottom near the door, but it hasn't gotten any worse, and is holding up pretty well.

While we all loved the Maye Tanco Kid Pink Princess Castle, especially our Granddaughter, we thought it would be a pop up castle and not require such difficult assembly. It was difficult for us to assemble and an adult had to crawl in the place the support rods which were not as easy to place as you might think. I recommend they make this item a true pop-up possibly with a center support for stability.

Bought as a gift. Was a hit

This tent is adorable & my kids love it. Only problem I have is that the little slots that hold the rods in place were ripped after 2 days. They're still holding the rods in place as of now, but it's a little disappointing.

Inexpensive and easy to put together. Best of it all kids have been playing quietly inside of it for hours

It is fun for my daughter she uses it with her dolls, friends and for reading.
