Replaced the motor in 05 Z4 convertable. Works great.
Replaced the motor in my 2005 Z4 convertible. Works great. i remoted the motor and hydraulic pump to the trunk, found how to in a YouTube video. Motor replaced the factory installed motor after I removed the old seal at the bottom of the original motor and used the new seal provided on the new motor. Cleaned up the hydraulic connections but never opened the lines. did not need add fluid. Might have to add an ounce or two, but no more. Motor had Red marking on one of the connections. Guessed right on connecting it to the original wires. Tested by jumping the motor with a battery before installing in car.

Does not have enough power
Installed motor and did not have enough power to turn hydraulic pump to raise and lower roof. This came from the BMW dealer when I paid for diagnosis.
