For over 25 years the RV community has benefited from the ONLY Liquid EPDM Rubber roofing sealant in the industry. This is not a water based product; in fact independent studies have proven liquid roof to outperform elastomerics and acrylics three times longer. The most widely used liquid coatings by the RV industry are Acrylic Elastomeric products. The weakness of these products, however, comes from the fact that they are water-based emulsions, which makes them vulnerable to sudden showers or freezing temperatures soon after application. They have inherently poor resistance to standing/ponding water. Another drawback for the Acrylic products is that they do not work over single ply EPDM membranes. Liquid Roof on the other hand will literally take ponding water 365 days a year and waterproofs immediately after application. That means if you get an unexpected rain shower just after you applied it there is no need to worry; your roof is already protected. The outstanding success with this product is in its chemistry. Liquid Roof's unique curing or drying process provides for cross-linking to occur and as the product dries it chemically bonds itself to your roof. During this drying process the liquid roof pushes to the surface what would otherwise be trapped air giving your roof an airtight seal. Liquid EPDM will not chalk unlike traditional sheet epdm roofs. Liquid Roof is only available in white. Coverage is 42 square feet per gallon. This is a one coat system you will never need to apply more than one coat and should last 15-16 years before a re-coat is needed. Will withstand temperature from -40 to 300F !
