Thames Kosmos Ooze Labs: Soap Bath Bomb OPEN BOX

Okay i even had fun playing with this as an adult with my kids. Fun for hours and even days. If your kids are into science or you want to get them started this is a great toy for learning. It’s easy to use with some adult help for reading.

We had a ton of fun with this kit and it did a great job teaching science as well! Also was easy to use with my 7 year old compared to a lot of other science kits we have tried

Cute little kit for kids. My niece loved it.

My 8 year old daughter has become interested in making soaps and bath bombs. I picked this kit out for her because we have the other Thames & Kosmos Ooze lab stations and this kit connects to the other bases. The lab station assembly is easy to do. It also includes stickers to decorate the lab base. It does have a nice, sturdy lab station and great quality equipment. There are 4 soap making "experiments". Making melt and pour soap is a craft activity, not a science experiment. My daughter was able to make 13 small bars of soap. And she was able to make 6 small bath bombs. There is no included fragrance. You get a packet of powdered red dye, which is an accident waiting to happen, so we did not use it. Instead, we used food coloring and fragrance oils that I had on hand Overall, I don't think the kit is worth the price. I think that the included soap block should have been bigger and more bath bomb mix ingredients should have been included. Including liquid coloring dyes and some fragrance oil would have made this a much nicer kit.

Does not come with everything, and super labor intensive. It's dry up so you have to buy extra kits to make everything advertised

I bought this for my granddaughter’s seventh birthday. This isn’t your usual “craft” kit! It’s a science lesson that’s fun! We homeschool and this kit blends well with our curriculum. I actually bought 3 other kits from this company at different levels for my granddaughter and her 2 brothers for Christmas.

It has a lot to do, not only making soap and bath bombs but also just science experiments. I think ages 6 and up is appropriate. The only thing I would change is the colors be a little more gender neutral but it’s still fun!

I bought this for my daughter and was eager to use it with her. After reading through the experiment booklet, there were only 2 or 3 things we could do with it because nearly every experiment needed extra materials that we didn't have. This ended up being a waste of nearly $30. The only plus side is that my daughter had fun using it as a science station by dumping water back and for in the beaker and tubes.

This is a gift for our granddaughter. She has not received the gift yet but I do know she will be absolutely thrilled.

Play. Gift for 8year old granddaughter who likes science

This is a great gift. It was a little tricky and involved using some ingredients that are not safe for children to handle. (Eg. Bleach)
