Working ballpoint pen crafted in English pewter and modelled on the must have accessory for any serious 'Timelord' namely the sonic screwdriver utilised to great effect by Doctor Who in the classic BBC television series.

Good concept
The idea of havig an old school sonic screwdriver made out of pewter is great. But the material that they use isn't the best. I had for one day and the top portion broke off and I was unsuccessful in trying to replace it :(.

Major overpriced dissapointment
This pen is actually pen sized. Mine broke within 5 minutes of examining it.It is about 5 inches long.I sodiered mine back to gether as best as I could but I would never waste $30 again on another piece of space age junk. The silver and lead content of peweter made it attractive. Now I am stuck with a $30 P.O.S Don't buy this junk. Not at $30.If you are a collector and can find it for less than $20 shipping included, I would say take a chance Other wise avoid this little 5" long piece of cheap cast metal crap.I should have known better when I saw such a virtually non existante description.

Doctor Who Pewter Sonic Screwdriver Pen
Love the look, but the ink ran out in under 15 minutes of use... Not particularly functional as a pen anymore (unless it can be refilled, which I kind of doubt it can be...), but might be OK for cosplay purposes...

What were you expecting?
The first Sonic Screwdriver inkpen is also the worst of the lot but not without its uses. I'm not sure what the previous reviewers were doing with their pens but mine is quite sturdy and has survived riding in various pockets, being dropped to the floor regularly and being used as a substitute toddler toy. I would definitely tell anyone contemplating purchasing this that the 11th Doctor Sonic Screwdriver pen is the best yet and worth every cent of its asking price where this one, well, isn't.
