I now have two bulbs working for 2 weeks. See how long they last. To step up it's in the 70$ price range. First Delivery great bulb! Picked up second system, and first bulb lit up and cracked within minutes. Got an instant refund and replacement from Amazon, minus the trip to Kohl"s for the return. The return bulb lit and went out in around 10 minutes, making me think it's my wiring or ballast. Second return to UPS store , instead of Kohl's? Second return works great so far. If you don't mind taking the risk, GREAT DEAL. I'm sure they do the same with the more pricey bulbs. The San Diego Hydro Store on Coast Hwy in Oceanside has Bulbs for 74 bucks, with a good return guarantee. Buying "Big Bulbs" online is risky, but if you don't mind hassling the returns, you might save money.

I should have looked at the diagram myself before I bought. The lamp is plenty bright and the price is excellent, but it contains the barest of blue spectrum. I had 3 plants stretch at an unbelievable rate. I prefer a lamp with a generous amount of blue wavelengths to help prevent this. As soon as I find a lamp like that, this one will be tucked back into the box and go on my shelf as an emergency spare.

It glows with the color of a fall sunset, and reminds me of a past vacation to Vannatu, where we laid on the beach till dark....Seriously, it's a freaking light bulb, seems really bright, I won't know for a few years what it's lifespan is.It was the lowest cost I could find here.

I have owed and used several HPS bulbs, so I'm familiar with how to handle and treat them. This bulb lasted approximately 2 weeks. Maybe it was just a defective bulb and doesn't represent the quality of the companys bulbs in general? But I won't be finding out the answer to that question.

The bulb worked well but burnt out within a few weeks

First bulb showed up with tube inside not secured at all got a return bulb it worked for 2 mins and burnt out never have used a bulb as BAD as this and regardless of the price is not worth it

good product , high quality and in good condition, high lumens, plants like it so much.what's more, they have a reasonable price.
