Low noise but low amplification.
Low gain. I do not understand how other customers rated the gain driving "at screaming levels". Perhaps mine was defective? Anyway I did not want to deal with replacing the product as it took a long time to have it delivered from China and I was not confident that the replacement will do better. Note to seller: you should specify the gain and noise, bandwidth at the least and delete ridiculous claims like " the preamplifier is smart", as there is nothing smart in this product.

A Great Little Amp
I have three Cmoy amps in various locations and I thought I would give this a try. It is smaller than the Cmoy and appears very solidly built. The sound is a bit smoother. Less high end emphasis and probably flatter. Which you will like better depends on your taste, the headphone and the recording. The gain is much less than the Cmoy and just barely gets enough volume from a 250 ohm Beyer . Positives are the solid build, external power light, and a rechargeable battery -the Cmoy goes through 9 volt batteries at a reasonable rate. If you can afford both that's the way to go. If you want one , they are both great. You can't go wrong with either.
