I wanted to be able to use my XBox One-specific headset on my computer as well; this cable does the trick perfectly. Simple insert the headset's jack into the female connector on the cable, then the mic and headphone jacks into your computer or sound card (or, in my case, into a USB connector), and boom! So yes: THIS WORKS PERFECTLY WITH A DEDICATED XBOX ONE HEADSET.

Works with single plug headphone/mic (Skullcandy)
My headphones (Skullcandy Crushers) have a single plug and a microphone built in. I really didn't think this splitter would work with my PC because it has that Realtek HD on it, but I plugged my headphones in and plugged them into the correct jacks, works perfectly! Couldn't believe something so simple saved me from having to buy an entirely new pair of headphones.

For some reason, this did not work with my ...
For some reason, this did not work with my PC. The intent was to connect my iphone headset to my PC through the front audio jacks. There was never any microphone input into the PC.
