This store claims they are selling a TITANIUM product- THEY LIE. They give you the impression that this is made purely of titanium and it is not. My significant other is a physicist and confirmed this. According to [...], Titanium is hypoallergenic, just like all noble metals. "Titanium is stronger and lighter than steel and does not contain nickel, making it 100 percent hypoallergenic and ideal if you have a metal sensitivity. Like gold and platinum, it is a noble metal." Doctors use titanium and niobium in surgical replacements such as hip replacements, screws and other various metal implants. I don't understand how Amazon can allow scammers like this on their site. I order from here maybe 3-5 times a month and am disappointed in the quality Amazon has allowed to have listed with their brand at stake- this was an add-on item for $5.99 via the AmazonPrime deal. I feel scammed by both Amazon (you have to buy over $25 in order to receive the $14 discount) and now I don't even get to enjoy my purchase because it is not titanium. My belly button is now infected and I have no use of this product. If you have sensitive skin, DO NOT waste your money or time. This item NEEDS to be listed as titanium-plated over surgical steel, which is pretty much what it is. I wish I would have read the other customer reviews, especially the one that said, "Green" as the headline. :: shudder :: Good luck shopping, folks.
