Fast, Quiet, Great Price w/Cord Tucked Underneath
Used this right out of the box with my MacBook Pro laptop. Selected the playlist to burn to a cd, (yes, my car still plays cds) plugged the device into my laptop, clicked on burn, a message popped up asking if I wanted to use this new drive to burn the cd and I clicked yes. A very few minutes later the cd was finished.I burned some cds a week ago and my old drive ruined several blanks, frustrating and expensive! So I ordered this one based on the reviews. I like that the cord is attached & tucked underneath the drive. No more looking for the right cord.Good price. Quick burn and quiet. I'm sure it will play any videos I want. Will update if I have problems with the unit.

I love having this DVD drive.
This dvd drive is perfect. My laptop didnt come with one and made it very hard to do anything . Now my daughter is very happy. We borrowed children books from library on DVD discs and watch them. It is a good size drive that can be taken anywhere. Very easy to use, as it only needs plugged in your laptop's USB. And I can load DVDs CDs and make cds all with this one device. Very happy. I love having this DVD drive.

Great design.
The DVD/CD burner works well. I like that they designed the USB cord to store neatly in the underside of the drive. Having the USB C or A plug option is a nice plus too.

Portable DVD drive
Nowadays PC is becoming compacter. DVD drive is not equipped in most PCs. A few weeks ago I purchased some Blue-ray DVDs from Disney. But I found that there's no device that can play them. As a result, I purchased this external DVD drive. It's lightweight and easy to carry with. Also, there isn't too much noise during operation. Anyway, it's worthwhile having such a compact device to play DVDs or install drivers software.

Just what I Needed
I recommend downloading the Windows all video player app, it's free, as you need some kind of software to get this external DVD player to work.(Be careful if you have a new Windows 10 laptop as it may be hard to find the software to download for this to work).Overall, great piece of simple kit if you need an external DVD player

Good to have it for burning data from DVDs/CDs
Love it so much because it's very helpful when I use the laptop without the internal DVD driver. It saved me time to burn data from the DVD/CD as well since I need to use DVDs/CDs often for my work. Also it's portable for me to put in my backpack. In general, it worths the price.

Double check application!!
It is difficult to give this product a fair review because it does not work on my HP Pavilion dm1 running Windows 8. Overall, this product appears to be well made and worth the money.

Very convenient！
I don't really know about the durability but it seems to work as described on my new iMac. While I use CDs and DVD infrequently, a CD drive is still essential. It's small enough to store in a drawer when not in use and when needed you can just plug play.
