Very easy to apply
This is an awesome product! I am amazed at just how well it does work! And we did follow the directions to use in a well vented space but, honestly, the fumes from this product are minimal. At first, we just thought we would use it on one problem rug. This was the rug that sits in direct sunlight and the dog uses constantly to go in and out. Its backing had seen better days. We sprayed RugLock on the back and now it stays in place...even if a squirrel is in the back yard! (Imagine a cartoon of a dog spinning their "wheels" to get traction to attack!) And, the little pieces of the original backing that were falling off are now also staying in place. It is literally a new backing. Then we had a rug in a bedroom on hardwood floors and I was always afraid any company would slip and fall, especially my son-in-law who is battling ALS. But now I can feel confident my guests are safe! And those of us with older parents, this is a wonderful product. I have begun spaying the backs of all my parents' rugs because a fall is the last thing they need. We are ordering more to finish all the rugs. And don't be afraid to use this on a bathroom rug. This product is washable and will retain its hold. Yep, I am a fan!

Great Product
The entryway to my home has a wooden floor with a long runner rug. My dogs love to run to the front of the house to check out any noises or people through the front windows. Even though I had a rug pad underneath the runner that was supposed to prevent it from slipping, the runner would always slip under my dogs paws. I grew tired of having to move it back into place, so I decided to try RugLock.RugLock does exactly what it describes and has prevented my runner rug from moving out of place. I was worried that it might have an odor or chemical fumes that would activate my asthma while I was applying it to the rug, but I had no issues with it whatsoever. There is a light odor upon application, but it does not linger once RugLock has dried. I sprayed it on, allowed it to dry for 1.5 days, and then placed the rug on my just-cleaned wooden floor. It adheres to the floor like a tacky glue. After 5 minutes, I decided to lift up the rug to re-position it slightly, and noticed that some of the RugLock had come off and was stuck to the floor. But it rubbed off easily with my finger, and the re-positioned rug stuck to the surface with just as much tack as before. I give it 4 stars because some of it does transfer to the floor.

Good idea - Poor product
This stuff sucks! The idea is good, but the instructions offer little advice about how much to apply and a lot of advice on how to mask off the edges. I really don't know if I applied too much or not enough. BTW, I'm a contractor of 30+ years, so I'm pretty good at this sort of work. This stuff sticks to my hardwood floor and leaves pieces of the rug glued to the wood. (I have allowed the rug to dry for a week, so it isn't that it is not dry!) And, the rug is now useless, since I can't remove the sticky backing...

RugLock saved 5 rugs....
I only received the can a few days ago, but here is my experience with RugLock. (1) My three bathroom runners are 15 years old, sit on a tile floor and were "slipping" in addition to leaving a powdery mess (backing had disintegrated). Before spraying, I washed, line dried and vacuumed the three runners. After applying tape around the edges of all rugs, I then applied a light coating of RugLock and let dry overnight. It's only been a few days, but there is no powdery mess on the floor and the rugs are "locked" in place. (2) Another rug sits in front of an outside doorway in my bedroom on top of wall-to-wall carpeting. For years, this rug has "bunched". Applied a light coating of Ruglock and put the rug down the next day. It hasn't "bunched" and also hasn't left any residual marks on my carpeting. (3) Another small rug sits at my kitchen back door on vinyl flooring. I used up the last of the RugLock can to keep the rug from moving around in this frequently used doorway. I ended up spraying five rugs of varying sizes with one 16 oz can. Although it is early, I am very pleased with the results (no powdery mess, no bunching, no slipping). Buying the spray was certainly cheaper than replacing the five rugs.

Some improvement in keeping rugs in place....
I followed the instructions as I read of other users experience. The first rug was a small 2 x 3 rug and the spray was evenly dispersed. Because of space limitations I waited 2 days (one day for first rug to thoroughly dry) and the spray was not fine but a bit globby. I tried spraying inverted to clear nozzle, running under warm water but that didn't make any difference in stream.(And yes I did shake thoroughly) Again I waited 2 days to do the other 2 rugs I had planned to do. And again the spray came out clumpy but settled on back of rug. I just let it dry longer before i put down. These rugs are all accent rugs on top of wall to wall carpeting. They did not work their way across the carpets as before but I am beginning to see them slip out of their positions. I am OK with that as it certainly is better than it was. I do not know how Rug'Lock works on rugs on top of hardwood flooring.

When wet the backing deteriorates and becomes slippery
In a bathroom situation part of the rug had become wet causing it to become loose. It appears the Ruglaock backing had deteriorated. The other dry section had stuck to the tile flooring requiring a significant amount of force to separate. After that, cleaning solution was used on the floor to to remove backing material that was adhering to the floor . Note, washing this dirty rug on gentle cycle completely removed all of the Ruglock sprayed backing.

It actually works
IT ACTUALLY WORKS!!! I had other rug pads and my rugs still slipped. I googled a rug pad that actually works and came across ruglock! I read the reviews and said what the heck, ill give it a try! I'm so glad I did. Its been about 2 weeks since I applied the product to my rug. The directions say to let it dry indoors but I didn't have a spot so I left it outdoors to dry and it still works. The rug is thick and stays in place perfectly. I have vacuumed, ypung kids and large dogs have ran and jumped on it, ITS STILL IN PLACE! I'm glad I bought this, would definitely reccomend it, and plan to use the rest of my can on other rugs in the house!
