Shave Soap with Tallow - Baker Street (Special Edition) 140ml shave soap by The Strop Shoppe

Tried a lot of the highly rated soaps. All dried out, razor burn and not a close shave. This is a soft soap and most important contains tallow. It does everything right. I was about to throw the towel in. Now I can use a sharp blade like the Gillette 7 o'clock black and will work up to a KIA, something I could not have tried before. I also used D.H. Harris Arlington shave cream. Put a dab in center of brush and then smear it on the Baker Street. Had to wrap a rubber band on my shaver as it was impossible to hang on, really. Not trying anything else.

One of the finest shave soaps ever. Really bummed the company went out of business.

After using the soap a few time now I am doing a updated review as much as this stuff is I expected a lot more the sickness is just not there . The sent is very nice but the soap just does not preform . I have added water took water out and always the same makes the razor stick to my face and grab maybe I am doing something wrong but I don't have this problem with any of my other soaps . This is not what you want happen with a stright razor .

This was one of the first shave soaps I tried when I switched back to wet shaving after years of electric. The smell is second to none! I love the lather as much as the scent. In all honesty, it's the standard to which I compare all other shave soaps.
