Auto Vaccine ClO2 car interior odor eliminator

After outdoor winter storage of my bowrider boat I was overwhemed by the stink of urine and feces left by mice/chipmunks whatever. I power-washed it and then sprayed it down with a peroxide/baking soda mix, but the smell lingered (probably up in the flotation foam sprayed around the gunwhales). In order to reach that area I used the Auto Vaccine. Two separate 24 hr treatments with the boat storage cover taped/sealed and the boat smell is now tolerable.... not 100% but at least I can get back in it and I didn't have to remove all that sprayed in foam which would have meant cutting away a lot of fibreglass. Yes, it leaves a chlorine smell but that airs out quickly. I would definitely use this product again.

It removed the musty smell and left a slight chlorine odor which is dissipating slowly. I recommend this product.

The packaging says that it works on cigarette smoke and although it did sort of mask the smell for a while, eventually it did come back. I also did not like the chemical smell it left in my car for weeks. The smell would rub off on my hands and clothes just as bad as the cigarette smell. There was maybe one month of no odor between the chemical smell dissipating and the cigarette smell coming back. It might work well on other odors, but has no long term effect on cigarette smoke.

This stuff really works!!! I recently bought a pre-owned 2011 Kia Sorento and within a few days I started noticing a smell like vinegar coming out of the vents when the a/c was turned on. After some research for a possible cause of the smell -- and for a solution -- I came across Auto Vaccine on an auto accessories website. I then checked Amazon for AutoVaccine, the price was lower, so I ordered it. The instructions were easy to follow. The trickiest thing for me was scheduling a time to do it since it takes a minimum of 4 hours and the car shouldn't be in direct sunlight. Also, obviously you can't be in the car while the CLO2 is being released. Plus to eliminate a/c odors then at the 3 hour point it's necessary to turn on the a/c for 15-30 minutes to circulate the CLO2 thru the system. So I started the AutoVaccine at 7pm, reentered the car at 10 to turn on/off the a/c, then left the car to sit overnight. The next day there was no more bad odor in the a/c!!! It's now been 3 weeks and still no odor. Just fresh, clean smelling air. This company also sells CLO2 packs for homes so we're going to try that in our rental property. I expect great things from that item, too!!!
