Grommets Kit, Jerbro 500 Sets Grommets Eyelets s with Installation Tools (3/16 Inch)

These are larger than the stated size of 3/16, they are 1/4 and were returned as I couldn't use them

The grommets are an ideal size. However I found the process to install them very difficult. Firstly, the tool to cut the hole for the grommet to fit, did not work. I tried to cut through 2 layers of a knit fabric and 1 layer of knit interfacing and it was too thick so a screwdriver had to be used to make a hole. Installing the grommets was also tedious as we would have to use the hammer multiple times to get it to stay in place. I ended up purchasing a grommet press tool instead.

There is certainly a nice variety of grommets in the kit, but they are rather short. This limits their usefulness to all but the thinnest material. I would have liked to have used them to reinforce lace-eyes on shoes and clothing, but it is not possible. I wound up giving the kit to a friend who does craftwork with lightweight materials.

These grommets rolled over with minimal splitting of the metal. They were a tad bit thick for my project, but I think that would have been true of any grommets I looked at in this size. The punch is useless on material, not sure it would really work on anything for more than marking the area that needs removed. Overall really nice addition to my project.

These are great little eyelets. Easy to install and looks great from the front - biggest problem was the rough texture from the back where the throat of the eyelet wasn't long enough to smoothly curl when pressed. I had to hand file each one to get a smooth finish so that satin ribbon could slide through cleanly. Not perfect but better.

Love the selection of color. Simple to use tools.Only complaint -- the grommet sometimes gets stuck in the "anvil" on which you tap the grommet closed. This is not a result of hitting it too hard - though that will get it stuck. Even gentle tapping sometimes gets the thing stuck and it takes some prying to get it out, which can ruin the grommet or the article.

This is a wonderful assortment of small decorative rivets. Not a single grommet in the bunch. It may have been a poor translators problem but NOT what I wanted. 9 bucks not worth the trouble of sending back. Will try again.

The product works as designed and the finish on the metal eyelets is consistent. There was not an issue with the finish chipping. Would order again.
