KEHAN KH700-70V 2.7" Super HD 2560x1080 2304x1296 Car Dash Cam 175°Viewing Angle Ambarella A7 with G-Sensor HDR Night Vision Motion Detection

I bought this back in January of 2016 and since then it's consistently overheated and shut-off mid-drive forcing me to pull over and re-boot only to shut down again after 10 or 15 minutes. I'm now no longer using it because the battery didn't last the winter (I live in the northern United States) and it won't even start unless it's plugged in only to shut down within a few minutes. As the manufacturer suggested I've had this plugged in to my car's usb / charge port the entire time I've owned it so it's there's either a defect with their chip, programming or the built-in battery is really cheap.Either way I'm out $250 and still don't have a reliable dash-cam. I recommend buying any other model for those interested in this

After getting a replacement camera, I am happy with its performance. I did have to shut off the lane change warning system. It can be very annoying telling you that you have gone out of your lane every time you change lanes or want to turn. Other than that it is a very good camera.

So far, the Kehan is still working well. The quality is very good compared to the Falcon Zero HD Touch and Sansco brands.The positive of this dash cam are the very HD video, widest 175 degree viewing angle compared to other brands I mentioned above, and that it can use a 128GB Sandisk MicroSD.The two negatives that I have found that the dash cam can get very hot within 15 minutes. A solution could be to have the cold A/C moving towards it. I also starting getting issues of the dash camera always asking to recover the previous movie file. I will try clearing and reformatting the MicroSD card to see if this will fix the problem. Another issue is that the suction cup mount has lost it's suction, HOWEVER, after I had contacted the seller, they were very supportive and willing to send a replacement.

It's a great dashcam but if you leave it in your car on a hot day it's ruined. Something inside swells up and the front pops out and it stops working. This is my first time having a dash cam I had it last year for a couple months it quit working after a hot day in my car. They sent me a new one and I waited until winter to install it. Worked great all winter then the first hot weekend and bam it is broke again. I don't know if all dashcams are like this but I will not be getting this one again.

Overheat and frozen after a week of use.

Update: Oct 2021I still don’t have a problem with the dash cam alone. But I have spent many, many hours trying to get their app to sync with this dash cam. It doesn’t work! Then I tried to install the rear dash cam. What a waste of time. I’ll just keep the cameras installed but not worry about the app. Don’t get the rear dash cam.2016: I purchased two of these dash cams. One for my front windshield and one for my rear window. Although the instructions were in English, they could be a little challenging to understand. But once you get the dash cam set up, I was satisfied with my purchase. Any questions I had were answered through their email tech support. Because of the distance, there is a 12-15 hr delay. But the explanation was enough to fix the problem. Tech support was very helpful. I'm new to dash cams so I'm giving this a try. So far, I am satisfied. Good work Kara.

Do not buy it is very bad

Outstanding feature: Kehan’s KH700 is reliable under night-time low light conditions.I bought this Kehan a year ago to replace an unbranded car cam. I live in the city where night-time lighting conditions may change from block to block. It’s difficult enough for a camera on automatic mode to capture clear still images under changing lighting conditions, let alone moving images. The unbranded car cam was unable to record clear videos at night almost all the time, so much so that when I was driving behind another car, the license plates of the car in front of me was indecipherable.Contrast that with the Kehan: I was able to use the videos to track down the license plate of a Tesla S that was driving towards my direction at high speeds in the wrong lane at night. I then used the video as evidence to lodge a formal complaint against that driver.When in use, the Kehan is hot to the touch. Nonetheless, it keeps on working under 35°C summer heat.I use UHS-I (U3) microSD card to capture HD videos and I’m ready to purchase the same KH700 for another car.
