The exhaust gases drive the turbine wheel of the turbocharger and compress it on the compressor side, here you will benefit from the effect of heat expansion. Unfortunately the radiant heat of the engine, or the turbocharger, also reheats the newly sucked air, which reduces the effectiveness of the turbocharger. Typically, turbocharged vehicles are equipped with a charge air cooler, but they are often very small in size and often come to their limits in the case of engine tuning. In order to counteract this, a charge air cooler with a larger mesh size or a larger cooling surface should be installed. This intercooler set is suitable for Subaru Impreza WRX and Impreza WRX STi GDA and GDB from the years 2002-2007 in which an EJ20 or EJ25 engine is installed.
