I kinda like breathing. This helps me to breathe better.
This does indeed clean out your sinuses better than I imagined it would. Thanks to the reviews here, I got this plastic neti pot as I didn't want to put a cold porcelain pot on my nose, nor worry about breaking it by dropping it. As as first time neti pot user I was afraid I was gonna drown or at least get a headache or some thing, but done properly this thing works. When I took it out of the package the spout end looked huge, and I thought that would make it hard to get the water in my nostril. The exact opposite is the case. It works just fine. I used it with the water temperature slightly warm. I of course first boiled it, added 1/4 teaspoon salt, and let it cool. When the water came out of my other nostril, I was surprised because I was not choking or feeling strange or anything, it just started to pour out.I was surprised at how much water it holds, and it took a couple times to get all the water through my sinuses.BTW- As a sufferer of mild asthma, this would have helped me for many years had I known about it sooner. If you are reading this review, get one and try it, especially if you suffer from any respiratory aggravation. My only con for this product is that it came like a week late, but that is likely due to the Christmas time shipping traffic.

Nice pot and easy to use.
Used my first neti pot from a seller my pulmonologist recommended for several years, without problems or leaks, until I accidentally tossed the lid out. Since I find those packets for the solution work very well for me, I got a replacement pot. Was harder to see the water level due to a color change, and after a few uses, found it dripped and leaked. A second pot, purchased a few months later leaked annoyingly. I finally lost patience, due to decreased physical abilities following a bad injury, and decreased tolerance for annoyances. So I searched around for neti pots for a while, reading people's comments and trying to decide what my criteria were. Finally, I decided against glass (too much danger I would drop it during use due to my awkwardness), and stainless steel (really wanted this but would not be able to use the microwave and the cost I felt was too much for my budget since I was not back at work.) More looking at reviews, and eventually I picked this plastic pot. I have been pleased with it. Very happy that there are no leaks, drips only when I tip it too far. Easy to fill, easy to mix a packet into the water. Easy to hold and fairly easy for me to use in spite of difficulties with lifting it in the proper positions with my left shoulder and arm. Cleans up and drains to dry easily. I really like how the lid screws onto the pot and the little air holes in the lid. Only problem I have with it is that the spout get VERY hot from the microwave, too hot to place against my skin. So I put my finger over the opening in the spout and run cold water over it for a few seconds. Problem solved. I expect to get several years out of this netiquette pot, so it is economical.

Yeti Pot - Neti Pot
This "Yeti Pot" brand neti pot is very small. To be honest, I was expecting it to be twice as big. It holds aproximately 1 cup or 240 ml. After using it I am pleasantly surprised and the small size makes it very easy to use. The screw on lid keeps water from leaking out and the rounded spout fits the nostril perfectly. Although it has a small capacity, it is simple to refill. I find that 1 pot full for each nostril works well. It is made of sturdy plastic and is easy to rinse and keep clean. I recommend this product because it is a simple and effective device and is affordable.

An alternative to allergy medication
I used to have terrible allergies as a child and would get sinusitis quite often until I moved from central Los Angeles to the coast. Last Fall I moved from there to New York City. Now that spring is in the air everything is in full bloom. I started using loratadine again and taking it daily. Lately, I felt it started working less and my allergies getting worse to the point of keeping me up most of the night. One morning my roommate walked in to me in the middle of a sneezing fit. She said her doctor recommended this because she's a singer and taking allergy medications dry her vocal cords out. So I get on Amazon and order this, along with some ready mixed salt solution packets, with free Prime next day shipping. The neti-pot package came with the pot and a little pamphlet with funny pictures of yetis showing you how to use the pot. I liked that, I'm easily amused, but the instructions are fairly straight forward and simple. I didn't have distilled water so I boiled water, mixed the solution in a measuring cup and waited to let it cool down.So the first part of my experience didn't go too well. I turned my head horizontally and tipped forward in the sink. My mistake was to put the spout of the neti-pot into the nostril that was already congested to the point of me not being able to breathe through it. I thought that would clear it up. I was wrong. It triggered a chain of massive sneezes that I had to sit down on the toilet until it passed. I wasn't going to give up though. With eyes watering I attempted the other side. With a little maneuvering I positioned my head correctly. But because my right nostril was so clogged the water was flowing down the back of my throat and out of my mouth. The saline water in my nostrils feels weird. It sorta gave me flashbacks as a kid almost drowning in the ocean with the salt water clogging up my nose and mouth. Not a pleasant experience but I'm an adult now so I'll get over my PTSD for some sinus relief. After a few passes of alternating nostrils my right nostril began to clear. Along with the saline solution came lots and lots of mucous (gross!!). Like the instructions recommend, LIGHTLY blow your nostrils clear. So the rest of the evening was per usual, a little congested with pockets of non congestion and the ability to lightly blow my nose out.Cut to this morning...SO MUCH BETTER! I did not wake up to a sneezing fit and reach for my loratadine. My sinuses are clear and I don't have that itching and tickly feeling in my nose. I also noticed my eyes don't feel as dry and itchy. I'm still blowing my nose but it feels like drainage and it's productive not just clogged up sinuses with mucous coming out.I am waiting for my salt solution to cool down at the moment and decided to write this review because I am just so grateful. I really thought allergy meds and sneezing were going to be my life every spring. I plan to do this every day, twice a day. I don't think it'll be too much of a hassle. To be able to breathe and not worry about bringing tons of tissues with me everywhere, I sure can!!!Clean out your neti-pot with some hydrogen peroxide solution like another reviewer said. You don't want nasty bacteria going straight to the delicate mucius membranes in your nose and wreaking havoc there! That's happened to me before by using a face steamer I didn't clean out properly...it's no joke!!I recommend this!!!

Ripped off
Doctor advised to use Neti-Pot. Pot is OK. Seam on the spout is a little rough. Could be made better. Was at my local Dollar Store and they had the exact brand for only a dollar. RIP OFF.
