I have been taking probiotics for a couple years now as part of my daily routine to maintain digestive health and boost my immune function. My usual go-to is Florajen3, but I've been looking for an alternative that could be easily purchased online. I decided to try this one as it meets most of the criteria I have when looking for a good probiotic:1. It contains multiple strains of bacteria2. It has adequate concentrations of bacteria- I usually look for a minimum 10 billion cfu which is accomplished by taking two of these capsules3. Contains other ingredients to promote the growth of these organismsMy only concern off the bat was that these probiotics are obviously not kept under constant refrigeration to help ensure the viability of organisms. To mitigate this I immediately refrigerated upon delivery.My first impression: unlike other reviewers I cod detect an odor when opening the bottle but it didn't really concern or deter me. I have been taking two capsules a day in place of my usual probiotic. It has definitely been doing its job in keeping me from having any digestive issues. Before I started taking probiotics I always had issues with my digestion from heartburn to gastrointestinal issues. They are almost non existent since taking probiotics and this one seems to be doing a great job in maintaining that. My usual brand was unavailable for some reason, so I searched and found this one. This one is nicely labeled. You'd be surprised how many turn up with labels that are mostly blank with no breakdown of strains or origin, no 'other ingredients' list. This one has an easy to read and understand label that includes manufacturer's warnings about the facility it's processed in (important for nut allergies and the like) and what the capsules themselves are made of. (You'd be surprised how many don't include that!)The bottle arrived properly sealed, clean and with an easy open cap. The capsules are clear making it easy to see the contents and that the capsules are filled with a consistent amount. The probiotics are in a soft off-white powder. There is not really a smell to it, there shouldn't be, so that is good. I had been out of my usual brand for a couple of weeks so I started with the max dose of 1 capsule 3 times a day to reload my system and help it to rebalance. I noticed an improvement within a few days. The potency must be fairly high for that to happen. The blend of strains is also a unique one and seems to be more effective than my old brand. Probiotics Plus is now my new favorite and I will definitely be re-ordering.My only note to the sellers would be, please add it as a 'subscribe and save' offer. That way I can set it and get a new bottle each month without having to worry about it. Much easier to do that than try and remember each month.

I always read what strains are in any particular probiotics product before I purchase them, because I read that there are 2 main species of probiotics that you want in your gut: Bacterium and Lactobacillus. Of those two species, I've read that the most effective strains are: bacterium lactis, bacterium breve, bacterium longum, lactobacillus acidophilus, lactobacillus casei, lactobacillus plantarum, lactobacillus paracasei, lactobacillus salivarius, lactobacillus rhamnosus, and lactobacillus bulgaricus. The strains in the Probiotics PLUS were all those on this list, so check, check, check! I was very eager to try it.My "normal" my whole life has always been going once every 3-4 days. I've always had issues with constipation. I took these and nothing was different for the first few days, but then now I've been going every single day. No stomach aches or bubbly guts or weird burps. The capsule is easy to swallow. I wish I had known more about probiotics when I was pregnant, it would have saved me a lot of pain & discomfort. Now, just a note: My husband is the opposite. He has a very sensitive stomach and is lactose intolerant, can't eat spicy stuff, among many other things, and this is too strong for him, so he can't take these pills. Which is kind of a good sign for me, because it just tells me that whatever is in these pills work! So if you have a sensitive stomach, just be careful. Product was provided for free for my honest opinion and review.

I love this stuff! It's been working great for me. I take it at night at bed time and it works before breakfast. I will buy again!

A good blend of probiotics for anyone looking to restore intestinal health. Was gentle on my stomach and didnt cause gas or bloating.
