Handy Can Opener : Automatic One Touch Electric Can Opener (Two Pack)

I looked for this can opener and finally found it on Amazon. I have the exact one already and LOVE it , never had any problems with my old one that I have had for many years. The reason I wanted to get a new one was because I dropped my old one in a sink full of water and it was drenched, I thought it would never work again. I found this one which is the original "Handy Can Opener" in the red color which works great , opens all size cans with no effort on me. I tried the new one out and it works as good as the old one. In the mean time my old one dried out and I replaced the batteries and that one works like new ! I will save the new one for a spare , I never want to be without my Handy Can Opener . I have no strength in my hands and very difficult for me to open cans , jars , etc. This helps so much with opening cans and when finished I just rinse them and toss them in a bin. FYI: Don't try to force the can opener , it will move on it's own and stop on it's own when finished opening the can. I think people have issues with the opener because they try to move it manually. I have never had a problem with any lid getting stuck or any jamming up and I own the original one that came out way back when ?

Didn't even make it around the first can. I had to yank the final inch or so and then couldn't even get the lid off the opener. Sent it back the very next day .... and yes the lid was still attached.....

i would rate it 0 . as this purchase is a waste of money. previously I have bought this opener at Cristmass Tree shop and was happy with my can opener last 3 years. I couldnt find it at store so desided to get one from Amazon.i have tried to open 4 cans, and failed. this machine suppose to work from batteries. but i hardly opened 4 manually ! (using /scrolling button at the left , back and force as it says on can opener) what it did to the last can lid u can see from the picture below. again I want to stress that i know how to use this opener but what it did to lid is unsafe and of course waste of my time and money

This P.O.C. broke the 3rd time I used it. The lid of the can got stuck in the opener. My wife was able to get it out but now it doesn't work right. Also don't like the fact that it cuts the paper on the side of the can so there are little strips of paper in the food. Another thing you should know is that because it cuts below the rim of the can, it degrades the integrity of the can and the can becomes mushy and flimsy.

I love these things, but they are fragile and break too easily. I have been through several. If the battery died mid-can, you will have a hard time getting it off the can, and it will never work again. Also it doesn't like Hunts spaghetti sauce cans very much. Easy to wreck, but great while they last! We love them while they work. You're good if you have Prime so if you need to get a new one in a hurry, you can (bad pun, not intentional...can, lol).

Difficult in engage with can. Finally went half way around and stopped. Could not get it released. Had to throw away the can with the opener attached. I had this brand before and it worked well for a very long time. I've tried several brands recently. Most work on on small cans but fail on larger sizes.

The old hand turned ones, hurt my hands. This makes it so easy. Took a couple tries to get it zero in But now its slap it on and hit button. lol can opens while I am doing other things preparing meal.
