Met expectations
I saw this film many years ago and enjoyed it. As a fan of film musicals I have tried to build up a collection of favourites but some were more elusive than others. Summer stock is a lively put on a show musical with great dance numbers and two wonderful stars in Gene Kelly and Judy Garland in her last film musical appearance. With good supporting actors this is a family musical all can enjoy.I am so glad that after a lot of searching I now have this in my collection. Only a few hundred more to go!

Judy was outstandly superb and Gene was pretty OK. Well worth getting.
This DVD was a little late but in good condition. It was a little slow to get going but developed into a wonderful movies with some great singing, wonderful dancing and the Best bit of July Garland I have ever seen. She was truly fantastic, sexy, provocative and the singing was superb.

Lovely song and dance film
Gene Kelly and Judy Garland star in this very innocent and geniunely pleasant film. The story is uncomplicated and predictable, and/but (depending on your take) the film is truly charming. The song and dance sequences are great, the cast is warm-hearted - this is the perfect film if you are feeling blue and in need of some kind-hearted cheer.

Judy and Gene for the last time
Judy and Gene Kelly together are really great. I know that Mickey Rooney was considered for the part. I'd have seen with great pleasure another movie with Mickey and Judy - and in adults roles! But I really like this movie. Really great! Fun and great talents!

Daft premise, dizzy and dizzying... with added chickens and tractors. Some great tunes and both Garland and Kelly on top form.
It seems a very long time ago since I purchased this product and to be honest I cannot say that it has stayed in the memory especially, but I don't recall any issues with it.
