Love it.
Ok...So I saw a made for TV movie a thousand years sgo..."short walk to daylight "..people on a 70's subway..and something happens to trap them on both sides...i was young but that movie has been stuck in my brain since I saw it....so...i thought this might be a remake...i think it is of sorts..they just changed everything.......but the tension is awesome..the thrills there..a tragic death....and this time we get Sylvester Stallone!!...Love him...love the movie...very happy.

A action packed movie.
This is an older movie, and I was surprised at how entertaining it is. Sylvester Stallone is a good actor. This is based on a real event that happened in the late 40s. I like the added extras because they explained how it was made. There was a man that made miniatures to help film it, and they were the best I've ever seen. The movies they make now are all computerized, and this was so interesting because of the creativity involved with making the tunnel and events appear real. Genius!

Cheesy but enjoyable 90's Stallone action
Basically it's the Poseidon Adventure, except instead of escaping from a capsized ship the motley crew must escape from a partially collapsed underwater tunnel running between NY and NJ. Turn your brain (mostly) off and let Sly entertain you and you'll have a bit of fun. Worth $2.99 rental.

GREAT POPCORN MOVIE
This was one of the best Sylvester Stallone movies that got overlooked in my opinion. Coming off the box office hit Cliffhanger, this disaster film hits just the right tone of action, drama, and tenderness. Sure it has to pay dues to disaster films of the past such as The Poseidon Adventure and The Towering Inferno but all disaster movie have to do that. Stallone is very good here as a every man who tries to help those in need and right a wrong in his life. It was a modest box office hit in the US but did big business overseas. If you have not seen it, grab a copy and some popcorn for a Friday night and have fun. Highly recommended movie.

Loved this movie. Saw it many years ago. Nice to see Stallone in a non Rocky role. Even husband sat through entire movie. That was a positive review!

daylight Blu ray
One of mine and wifes favourite Stallone films, along with a very young LOTR Viggo Mortenson as the owner of a sports shoes manufacturer "The territory beyond".....This is one film that does quite a good job of introducing you to the main charactors, little by little, so you know something about them. Its special effects and screen play is still mind boggling even after all these years it been out. At the end, a very sombre scene, above the water, shows the Twin Towers behind, in all there majestic glory, and its still hard to see them, and know, they are no longer Standing. So a roller coaster ride of thrills and spills, and watch out for Stallones trip trying to get down to the tunnel to do a rescue attempt by way of the huge ventilation fans.!! An underestimated good acted , well written script and video and sound are well reproduced from the original DVD. recommended :)

Bridge toxic waste crash equals bad news for NYC commuters in a flashy, loud actioner with fantastic sfx
Massively effecting disaster movie with some truly mind boggling sfx. Sly is, as always, commanding and heroic in the lead. Amy Brenneman, from Heat (1996), is a wonderful damsel in distress slash heroine. Viggo Mortensen buys the farm early on. Danielle Harris from the halloween films is nowhere nearly as film ruining as she was then as she is here. That guy from Con Air who wore a dress appears here in a less disturbing role. The always dependable Dan Hedaya is dependable here. The older lady from Disclosure has a brief role as a stupid exec who thinks they know better. There's a charming chemistry between a doomed Stan Shaw (Snake Eyes) and a teary Vanessa Lee Calloway (it's possibly Bell not Lee). There's the obligatory dog that always makes me cry. That blonde woman from jaws the revenge is in this film. And Jay O. Sanders is her hubbie. This film was always gonna live and die by its effects and thankfully they are A+

Enjoyable
I quite enjoyed the movie, some of the characters were annoying and too argumentative but that doesn't damage the movie. The packaging was good and the disk works fine. I definitely recommend this movie.

I enjoyed this movie but the sound is really bad, all the effects are deafening but at same time can't hear people talk
