Review: Good tasting and moist - Great we like it warm with butter and honey. Ham sandwiches egg salad almost anything you can think of. Review: Great for my lazy Italian Wife! - Have you ever dreamed of bread so convenient that it pops right out of a can, like a culinary jack-in-the-box? Well, pinch yourself, because you're not dreaming – canned bread is real! And let me tell you, it's a game-changer, especially for my wife, the self-proclaimed "laziest chef in Italy." My wife, bless her, believes that cooking is an art best enjoyed from a distance – preferably the distance between our couch and the kitchen. So, when we discovered canned bread, it was like the heavens parted and the culinary gods smiled down upon us. This bread is so easy, even my wife, who thinks boiling water is a bit too "chef-y," can make it! But wait, there's more! Not only does this bread miraculously emerge from a can with the ease of a lazy Sunday morning, but it also pairs wonderfully with her other specialty – tomato sauce made from canned tomatoes. Yes, you heard it right, canned tomatoes. Because why bother with fresh tomatoes when you can just pop open a can and call it a day? In conclusion, if you, like my wife, believe that the best Italian cooking involves as little effort as possible, then canned bread is your new best friend. It's the culinary equivalent of a mic drop – simple, surprising, and somehow, against all odds, delicious. Buon appetito!

Mediocre Bread Product
I used to see this item in grocery stores when I lived in the Midwest. But since I've lived in the West now for many years, and apparently this product is not marketed here, I had assumed it was no longer made. So when I saw mention of it recently on social media, I decided to see if Amazon carried it, and I ordered a can. It looks and tastes just as I'd expected. It actually has more of a cake texture than a bread texture. Taste, of course, is personal, but to me it's just mediocre. It's okay, but I wouldn't call it delicious. It's also a bit of trouble getting it out of the can. So it was worth a try, but I don't intend to buy it again.

Who would've known that bread in a can was a thing and tastes good!!??
I bought this bread in a can after hearing a discussion about the factory in Portland, Maine that had made this product. Never before I had heard about baked bread in a can and I've never seen it in the grocery store so my curiosity was peaked! When we popped open the can, we were pleasantly surprised to see what resembled a moist dark bread but we also learned that you can't just get the bread out by opening only one side of the can so after removing the top and bottom of the can we were able to get the bread out in one solid...loaf? The rounded loaf was surprisingly tasty! It was slightly sweet and very moist and dense. We sliced some rounds off, heating some and leaving others unheated and then tried the slices with and without butter. It was good either heated or unheated but definitely top notch when heated and with some butter. Even though they will sadly no longer be making this in Portland, Maine, I hope that B&M continues to make this product because we will definitely be buying this again.

Bioengineered Ingredient!
Why did you pick this product vs others?: Bread tastes good no problem with the taste but have a problem that actual ingredients are not listed on the pics associated with this product! I will include my pics of the bread I bought and it shows “contains a bioengineered food ingredient” which does not show up in pics they include of product before you buy! I have a problem with this since I would’ve not purchase this item, knowing this!! Be careful

Delicious
Love this stuff! My Irish grand mother used to serve this at any large family meal. She just used to heat it up in the oven, then slice it and add butter. Delicious.
