Great product, would definitely recommend
Been using it for over a year now on a garage door, great product, very sturdy, easy to install, definitely not made of cheap materials

Cheap and brilliant
This only takes 4 or 5 decent screws and it is fitted, there is no housing out or chisel work and it solves the age old problem of doors pulling themselves off the frame when the hit the adjacent wall next to the hinge side of the frame. It’s ideal where a door stop would be impossible or would cause a trip hazard. You can mount it at the top which keeps it out the way or on the floor and top together for double the strength. It’s great for doors that get caught by the wind. If you want you can bolt it deep into the transom and right through the door if you want to. It’s very sturdy and is only as strong as your fixings are. A lifesaver in a commercial situation where door stops are not a viable option. (Schools, trip hazard etc)

More about the travel than the stay?
I bought the ZEROplus Friction Door Limiting Stay as a means to control the unruly behaviour of a wooden, outward-opening personnel door to my garage, which was very easily blown too far open, even by a mild gust.Intended primarily for restraining wooden, rather than (the more ubiquitous) uPVC doors, the ZEROplus Friction Door Limiting Stay presented itself as the only real contender I could find to meet the need of limiting door opening to about 90 degrees.Curiously, however, at the end of the fitting instructions it’s claimed that this is not the intended purpose of the stay and that it is merely meant to control, by friction, the speed of opening or closing the door. While I try to envisage how that would be useful, I can say that the device seems rugged enough to me to fulfil the purpose for which I purchased it although, acknowledging the recommendation from the manufacturer that “a supplementary door holding device should be fitted”, I am still careful not to leave the door open in blustery conditions.Fixing the device to the frame and door was relatively straightforward, although I did have to reposition the friction box plate on the door face once I fully understood the intention of the instructions; nothing wrong with a bit of trial and error… Also, it’s worth noting that the fitting instructions assume a square frame; if like mine the underside of your door frame is angled, you might need to employ a couple of washers as spacers to ensure correct alignment and operation of the friction box and arm.The device appears to be well made, with a good finish and I would judge the overall appearance to be fairly discreet. My ZEROplus Friction Door Limiting Stay has been in place for about three weeks now. It’s doing exactly what I wanted it to and I guess the friction element does play its part by making the door less inclined to swing open suddenly.

Fantastic
Used on an outhouse where laundry done. Door kep swinging open and would bang closed when inside. Popped this on and door is controlled alot better. Even in a wind it stays put. Closes gently. Perfect solution. Installed in 10 mins.

Good quality item
Very well made but a bit heavy duty than what I needed as it is too robust for my motorhome

Exactly what I needed
Installed to our exterior rear garage entry door to stop it fouling against an adjacent fence if fully opened at 90 deg., protecting its weather-sealing paint should the wind try taking it.To accurately set the limit angle, I first fixed the part to the frame at the recommended distance from hinge centre, then opened the door at the required stop angle, presented and marked the holes for the door part, and screwed it in place.Works perfectly!
