The rubber on it seems slightly harder, more textured (or less worn), and slightly darker (or less aged) than the controller's plugin. That said, it's the cheapest I've found em and likely the best that can be found apart from an OEM cable. Review: Does what it needs to do for cheap. - I bought these to adapt Rock Band guitars. It works and it stays snug. I plan to buy more from this company if I need more ## Features - ☺【Perfectly Compatible】This USB breakaway cable is designed to a great replacement cable for connecting your Xbox 360 wired controllers to your gaming console. - ☺【Easy to use】Easy to connect and disconnect, Black breakaway cable is designed to match existing controller cables and seamlessly blend in to your gaming setup. - ☺【Enhanced protection】These breakaway cables for Xbox 360 wired controllers help keep your console safe by safely disconnecting when unexpected pulling of controller wire occurs. - ☺【Suitable for PC Games That Support Controllers and Gamepads】USB connection allows supported dance pads and instruments to be used with PC games supporting such inputs. - ☺【Please Note】 This USB breakaway cable is not made by Microsoft.
