I've been making Frappe at home for a few years now, as my teenage daughter loves it. We used to make it in a blender, but it's a pain to drag it out just to make a cup or two. I saw an item just like this during a recent trip to Greece, so I decided to look for one when I got home. The DiFora was the only one that fit the bill for me. I didn't want to be replacing batteries (I don't make Frappe during the winter, and I KNOW I would end up with leaky batteries ruining the machine), so I liked that it was a corded unit.I received my order yesterday, and made my first Frappe this morning. It is SO much more powerful than I expected!! Whips up beautiful foam in seconds--I was drinking it in minutes without all the blender cleanup. And it came much more quickly than expected, even without Amazon Prime. Thank you, Tula, for a wonderful product! My daughter will freak out when she gets back from Greece and sees it!UPDATE: 6/6/17. I've had this Frappe maker for 2 years. I bent the stem in transit when I took it with me on a camping trip, so ordered another about 6-8 months ago. The second one worked better than the first, and I've been very happy with it. I decided to order a third to help out with our Greek Festival that occurred last week. When the third one arrived, it was defective, so I called the vendor right away. They are sending out a new one and when I told them about my original that I bent, they told me they would send a replacement for the bent frother too! Thanks for the excellent customer service. (and I used my personal frother for the festival--it worked great!)

I decided to review this product after over half a year of daily use. (We're talking multiple times a day) I've gotta say, it's money well spent and my coffee life has drastically improved!So, yeah I use this for frappe. Man, where do I begin!?First off, this thing may look weak, but oh boy are you in for a surprise! This baby can launch your delicious, milky, caffeinated nectar all over you on full blast (which I found out the hard way). The grip is super comfortable, and nicely contours to your hand. Yes, the metal shaft is thin, and likely to bend if you drop it, but you're an adult and should take care of the tools you love (and you'll definitely love this one). Plus, it comes with it's own measuring-cuppy protective shaft.Secondly, many older reviews complained that the spring was too thin. Not anymore. If you dig into the replies the seller states they've changed the springs to a thicker gauge and I can verify the fact that that is a pretty gaugy spring, ya know?Finally, I really wanna emphasize that this thing can spin pretty fast and forcefully, meaning that the viscosity of the fluids you'll be frothing does not cause any noticeable change in the frothy inducing velocity of the spring-head. The intensity is variable in that you can lightly press and let go of the button, and the peak velocity kicks within a second of a full press.I'm tellin' ya this thing will turn your frappe into cement if you wanted it to. Accept no alternatives! If you're on the fence and reading this, BUY THIS FRAPPE MAKER NOW! You'll thank me later.P.S. I just really love this frappe maker.

I am a professional dog groomer, and I mix my shampoos with a blender to create a meringue for easier and more thorough application. Most little battery whisks do not suffice with any volume of water but this mixer is fantastic! It creates a fine foam like a battery whisk but has the power of a submersion blender. I am imagine if your goal was frothing milk you would be extraordinarily pleased as shampoo does not froth as nicely as milk. I am a coffee drinker as well and I do froth my milk at home with a different mixer and I am thinking about buying this one for home too!

I have waited about a year before posting a review for this, I just wanted to make sure my review is based on a long period of time I was using this mixer.So this new version is very robust compared to the old one with the plastic fixings.My only complain is that this mixer is not particularly useful for making Frappe coffee...Spring type whisker is rather for frothing, not for making Frappe.Frappe needs disk type whiskers to be done properly.I'd suggest the seller to have a look at how the real Frappe inventors are making Frappe coffee, or have a trip to Greece to find out by themselves.

As anyone who reads my reviews knows, I say it as it is.This frappe make is awesome. It is so powerful and the motor does not smell like it will burn out (like many in Europe on the 220v ones tend to do.)As for the other reviews, what is critical to point out that this does froth and is superior model for making Greek style frappe. As for the spring head, it is the right type. In Europe the heads some of the 220v models use are useless.I haven't had this long yet, so not sure if it will last like other reviewers point out but so far kudos. UPDATE: year later of 2 to 3 times use per day and still going strong, better than any other I had in Europe or hereP.S. one thing the marketer of this product needs to do is stop saying this unit is cheaper than some battery ones. Battery models in Europe run like 3 to 5 euros ... much cheaper than what they have this product priced for.

This mixer is the best I have ever used. I was born in Greece, and love traditional frappe. I was getting tired of using wimpy mixers that took forever. I have tried them all and was looking for something powerful, fast, and well made. This mixer is it. It whips up frappe in about 8 to 12 seconds. I could not be happier.I have tried everything out there. Corded, cordless, big countertop machines.
