It may be fine for a smaller person with a buckle change but ...
I returned this item for a couple of reasons. The buckle on this jacket is a metal two part that I found irritating when I tried it on. Secondly, I'm 6'1" and I felt it was too short. It may be fine for a smaller person with a buckle change but not for me. It appeared to be made pretty well especially for the price but I'm going for a Mustang at my local outdoor store where I can try it on before taking it home.

Effective but Not for Plus-Sized Chests
I'm taking sailing lessons and wanted something comfortable and effective. Initially I struggled with the buckles as they don't unclip but slide. It's a nice safety feature but a pain in the butt to finagle. Once I figured out how to loosen it, I couldn't get it to sit right. I'm 5'7" and am a well-proportioned size 18. This was not designed for a plus-sized woman.I initially gave it 4 stars because it's a well-made product, but dropped it to three because of the $17 in flat rate postage I had to pay to return it. Having a measurement screen on the product would be very helpful.

Keep out of the sun and away from heat?
Some of the product warnings seem to be odd considering this device may be worn outdoors in the hot sunshine.

Easy to wear!
I bought this for my husband and myself a year or so ago. We were very happy with it and we ended up purchasing one for our fisherman nephew. He really likes it and his parents don’t worry as much now when he goes off fishing by himself. He finds that it is very easy to wear, and doesn’t hamper his fishing at all. He actually ended up buying a second one for his brother.

Saved my life.. can't rearm it..
Riding on a jet ski and flipped, vest fired off and inflated perfectly and brought me to the surface right away. So thankful to have had this quality product. Issue was next... can't find a rearming kit for this so i had to purchase another brand to replace it that is common rearming kit on market.

Quality
By all appearances this has the look of quality. Of course the only real quality test is how well it performs in a life saving emergency, which is something I look forward to NOT doing.
