Single Seam Connection Many different methods are used for opening and closing the hoola hoop in order to charge the battery. Most use a larger piece of tubing at the connection seam so your hula hoop has an awkward bump in one section. We didn't like that so we designed our LED hula hoops to function identical to a standard hoop. One push button and one rivet, that's it. Easy On/Off Many hoops have on and off functions for the LED's inside the hoop however, most require you to open the hoop and remove the battery in order to turn it off. This can be annoying and often times results in lost batteries because the battery doesn't stay with the hoop. With our easy on/off, you can turn your hoop on instantly. 28 LED Lights We packed 28 color strobing LED lights into this hula hoop which is more than any other hoop company at this price. By using a unique soldering method, we were able to add additional LED lights at the same price. The LED lights will each cycle through 7 different colors in multiple patterns while you hoop. 3.6V Rechargeable Battery and Charger Our hoops include a 3.6V rechargeable lithium-ion battery which is the industry standard for LED hula hoops. We've also include a wall charger so you'll have everything you need to open the box and use your hula hoop the moment you receive it.

A marked up $17 hula hoop with a better battery. Not worth the money.
This is a poor value, and I'll tell you why as I happened to also purchase a $17 Hula Hoop from Ebay.They are identical with a minor difference. This Hoop Shop hula hoop is fitted for a 14500 battery; this is done through a conductive spacer added to the battery compartment. This allows the hula hoop to receive 3.7 volts whereas my Ebay one used 2 AA batteries. The Ebay one appeared dimmer until I tested it with 3 AA batteries (couldn't latch it) at which time the LEDs were just as bright and vibrant. They had the same flashing pattern, changing colors; some flashed fast while others slowly blended colors. The hoops were the same weight, made of the same material, and had the same built quality. The Ebay one came with striping added.I was hoping to upgrade from my $17 hula hoop, but this is just a cheap hula hoop with a better battery.My conclusion: If you can wait a month, instead of this, order a cheap one on Ebay from China directly and a 14500 battery. If you don't have a good charger already like a Nitecore D4 or D2, you're missing out on life, get one! Also buy a "AA dummy spacer" for a couple bucks.My search for a higher build quality hula hoop continues.

Broke after two months, very disappointed
I bought this hula hoop back in June and was very impressed with how balanced and bright the LEDS were. It was great hoop to show off with at night. Fast forward to last weekend when i decided to take it to a music festival where it could be be fully enjoyed, before i even got a chance to show my camping group how cool it was at night, it no longer would turn on. I tried multiple batteries and even tried my batteries in my friends led hula hoop. Her's worked, but mine was completely dead and i do not understand why. I am a pretty good Hooper and by no means treated it roughly. Actually due to it having all the delicate electronics inside i was actually more gentle than a regular hoop. I am very disappointed that a hoop of this price broke so quickly with only normal usage.

Unfortunately, I need to update my review from earlier. This is a great hoop and the quick response from the seller is great. They really want to make sure you have no issues with your hoop. The only problem is, you can only use THEIR OWN BATTERIES with the hoop. And your only purchase option is one battery with a battery charger that holds only one battery. You can't buy a 4 pack and you can't charge multiple batteries. And the batteries do not last as long as they say. If you are going to a festival, you will need several batteries, I would say at least 8 fully charged, so you would need to purchase 8 separate batteries and battery chargers.. This is disappointing since you assume when purchase a product that requires batteries, you assume you have battery options or at least I assumed. So I changed my rating from 5 stars to 4. The customer service with the company is really great though, good follow up. Just beware of the battery issue.Below is my original review:I purchased this hoop this summer and my apologies for the late review. But it is awesome and we love it. And the company has been great with any questions I have had. My only recommendation is that you purchase extra batteries.But seriously, great product (so far no issues) and the feed back from the company has been outstanding. I feel like I should add this line, "I was not paid for this review and received no compensation". I feel like you can hardly trust reviews on Amazon which is pretty annoying. But I am legit and this product is great.

Love this hoop
This is my first LED hoop after 4 years of hoop dancing as a hobby, and I love it! It's very light for all of the cool off body tricks, and it's tons of fun to get into a flow in the dark. The colors are bright and pretty, it looks like a rainbow in action. Pair it with your favorite music, and it's hours of fun.

Low quality
I would have to say the quality of this hoop is not worth the price. I have no idea why this company chose to go with a cloudy plastic for the hoop. It drowns out most of the light. This thing could be so much brighter with clear plastic. Also the locking mechanism that connects the batter is not very good. I know that this hoop will not last for long. I have to say I am very happy that I purchased this from someone that made it at home. I just wish they would have thought this through a little more. Take this with a grain of salt as I am an electrical quality control engineer and may be a little bias.

awesome beginner hoop
I’ve had a blast playing with this thing! It works as described and the button to open and close is super nice easy compared to other models I’ve used. I’m a beginner hooper so this is perfect for me to get into the hobby. I will update late once I’ve gotten more use out of it. (Also make sure to read directions carefully before using hoop for first time!)

fun for all ages
This is the third LED Hula Hoop I've bought for kids and seen how much fun they have. Everyone loves a Hula Hoop but one that lights up at night is extra-special....and fun for all ages.A word of warning though, if this is a gift, it is best to open it up, charge the battery and let it uncoil 24-hours before you intend to give it to the kid as it is too much fun for them to wait out this process.

Loved this hula hoop
Loved this hula hoop! Bought it for my grandaughter, who is 12. She is in love with it and has spent hours playing with it. We had it out for her glow party and everyone was amazed how it looks. Actuall had a lady stop at our house one evening to ask where we bought it. The other grandkids want one now. lol! It's was a huge hit! Great product for the price.

The hoop is awesome, but we had 1 led missing. I contacted the support and they issued a full refund on our product. :)
