Good stuff
I really wanted something that would block weeds but not have to be removed should we want to plant later. It has been down for over 2 months and is doing great. I rolled it out by myself, using small sticks to pin the ends down. It was a damp day, which I think helped. I did have to put more pinestraw on it than I anticipated to fully cover. I would guesstimate a bale per 4 linear ft of paper.I wanted to buy more last week, actually, but there wasn't a Prime seller at that time.

Mulch paper with no plastic content
This is a good mulch paper to use as permanent underlay as it is just that: paper. No plastics, no recycled bottles. I used it in starting to replace a small (350 sq ft) lawn and found it easy to roll out and cut. I covered it with compost and wood chips, so just the overlap at the edges is visible. It is soggy but intact after the Great Northern CA rainstorm earlier this week. Definitely best used when you plan to put something on top of it, rather than as an unweighted ground cover. As others have noted, it does not hold staples (I used bricks and planks to hold it in place until I could put the compost on top). A Master Gardener had recommended it to me. Only after touring half the garden stores and Home Depots in my county, then ordering from Amazon, did I find it at the bulk garden materials store.

Perfect for keeping your garden weed free
Love, love, LOVE this. We put the paper down and put mulch on top of it to hold it down. It's only been in our garden for about two weeks, and it's already very obvious that it's working wonderfully. Be careful when putting it down not to tear the paper, we can see weeds popping up where we did have a small tear. Very easy to apply & I love that I can just till it under at the end of the year. I'll definitely be buying this from now on.

I like it!
This stuff works pretty good. Will not hold off the the weeds for the entire season, but long enough. Plus I till it into the soil at the end of the season.

I have been using this product for the past 5 ...
I have been using this product for the past 5 years. It has cut down on my weeding significantly. The only down side is that it rather quickly degrades so typically you will have to reapply at least once during the growing season.

Highly recommend.
Stronger than expected. In anticipation of tearing I used two layers. Both lasted the season and have broken down successfully over the winter. When used with a drip hose it worked great in the hottest weather.

Only use if no wind
I would not recommend this to anyone who has any kind of wind above a very slight gentle breeze. We staked this down, put bricks on it and soaked it with water. It was in scattered pieces within hours because of a light breeze. Not worth the time or money spent. Grass clippings are easier to install and 99.9 percent more effective.

Expensive paper, not for tough perrenial weeds.
Was no match for field bindweed, unfortunately. As soon as it got wet, it started poking through the paper. Perhaps if this was layered it would work but that would be costly.
