My Little Sandbox Nativity Sandbox

Excellent set, very well-packaged, it's box is perfect for storage. We were originally introduced to a basic sand box set at a counselor's office, and our daughter found it both enthralling and soothing to play with. Sand trays are excellent therapy for people with stress or anxiety issues. This set isn't a work of art or something, but well-enough made that the people aren't ugly or weird, everything stands up properly without tumbling over, and the rake, shovel and pail all function well for the size. After more than a month of repeated play, most of the sand is still in the box, all the pieces are still in great shape, and the box is standing up well to repeated use. My only suggestion / desire would be that they make the tray itself with a lid that will seal, and put a handle on it, so it can be tossed around and carried on end easily without losing sand. As is, we have lost some sand and the kid does sometimes forget not to tip it too much when moving it from place to place, but it hasn't been too bad. A little expensive - other sets are cheaper - but a nice holiday edition so I figure we paid for the special design.

Now that it is December I opened it up and set it out. There are two Joseph's and one of the wise men is missing. The angel will not attach to the manger, as shown in the picture. Not very pleased at all...and of course it is too late to return.
