Using for a wedding. Dyed it with Rit dye which it took very well. I put it through genetle in the washing machine and lined dried it. Held up well. More gauzy in appearance than the 90 grade. If anyone else is using for wedding decor the 50 grade looks more like the gauze table runners popular right now and the 90 grade looks more like a ‘regular’ fabric and is more solid. Got both from this company and will be using both.

Very nice cheesecloth! Excellent value--lots of high quality cheese cloth for around 6 bucks! Has a tighter weave than grocery store cheesecloth and is MUCH sturdier. I am using it to strain homemade kefir (thick cultured milk--aka: drinkable super yogurt) to a Greek yogurt consistency for eating. The SAME piece of cheesecloth has held up to multiple rounds and washings. I have been just hand washing it in my sink with a tiny bit of dish soap, then rinsing it really well, squeezing all water out and leaving it draped over the clean dishes to dry. Great product! I used this cheese cloth to strain some flavored syrups I was bottling for an event. A single square cut large enough for my funnel lasted for a dozen bottles, filtering out fruit, rind, and pulp. I had to wash it out a number of times, but that was quick and easy. I have a ton of the stuff left for my next project. I'll gladly buy more, when I go through it all. Might take me a while. ^_^

I have not used the cloth yet. I ordered it to use in making ghee. Our nutritionist prefers us to use ghee over butter. I have several packages of butter that I will turn into ghee. The filtering process requires cheese cloth to separate the milk product from the oil. I am looking forward to making ghee. Your product was chosen for the quality mentioned in your reviews. This cheesecloth is fantastic! It is very soft and pliable but stands up to the many cooking applications I have used it for. I have used this cheesecloth to squeeze water out of different ingredients and it stands up to that kind of pressure without tearing. I have also wrapped spices inside the cheesecloth and steeped it in boiling water for hours on end and it also stands up to that kind of use.Because I only use this cheesecloth with food, I find peace of mind in the fact that the cheesecloth is made with unbleached cotton and is not processed in any way. This gives me great confidence that it does not impart anything harmful in my food. I also love supporting local brands when possible. I will definitely be buying this again when I run out!

I ordered this package of cheesecloth to use to cover some delicate plants from the scorching sun we have in summer here. The loose fit and "holes" allow ventilation. It works great for this purpose and even dries quickly when (if) it rains! When the temperature moderates, I will remove the cheesecloth. I have enough from my order to use it for many other purposes too. Great product and great service!

So happy to have found affordable unbleached cheese cloth to strain and wrap things in my organic kitchen. It arrived as expected and works just like the bleached stuff we've been using for decades without depositing bleach remnants in my food. I will order again when I need more.
