How will I know that the rubber is ready for the leather dye?** A: I really can't say. I would try it on some rubber sole shoes you don't care about. I research it a bit too. On leather once you clean off the area you want to paint it is ready to go I think. It drys really fast. Rubber is probably the same if it works on rubber. **Q: This goes on before and after or only before ?** A: Before **Q: Can this product be shipped to California?** A: Might not.
