The new puppy was constantly getting into the plant pots in our sunroom. Mulch was everywhere. Keeping a gate up to cut off access to the room was very inconvenient. I jury-rigged an old screen door insert to cordon off two plants in a corner. My wife wrapped the other pots in sheets and towels. We needed a better solution! My wife wondered if they made something for this situation, so to Amazon I went, and found these. We are VERY happy. They are easy to cut to size. I used a wire cutter which allowed me to make precise, custom fitting cuts where needed. It's a well designed product. Just make sure the potting soil is reasonably flat. This is easy enough to achieve. Take your time, measure, and you'll be successful. Do I prefer the look of exposed, natural soil? Yup. But if you need a solution like this, it doesn't look bad at all. Especially considering the other solutions! Guests may not even notice at first. They are working as advertised.

Just what I needed. It can be trimmed with a scissors to fit a potted plant. It’s not meant for keeping a digging animal out of an outside garden, but it’s great for conveying to a cat, “Look buddy, this is not a litter box; it’s mot sandy. There are these plastic meshing over the soil.”. It’s sturdy enough for getting that idea across to my newly adopted shelter kitten. I appreciated that there’s enough for two 20” in diameter large pots.

Some people complained about them being difficult to install and that the tree trunk needs to be directly in the centre. I completely disagree. Sure, you will get a better look if your trunk is directly centred, but you just need to measure and plan a bit and everything fits fine.My only complaint is the squirrels still manage to get their tiny paws in between the protector and the stalk! Cunning little critters. But that is not the fault of the product. Will buy again.

Not convinced this will work But I will give it a try. It doesn’t come with any instructions whatsoever. I bought two, and ended up ruining the first one while I was experimenting. I learned that it is best to make a paper template and then cut the plastic to fit around your plant. It is flimsy plastic, and I was afraid my cat would just lift it up to get under the plastic to get in the dirt. So I weighed it down with rocks. I will update later if this thing works.

I was very disappointed in this product. It just does not work doesn’t stay down the fitting doesn’t work with certain planters.

I was needing something to keep my cat out of my outdoor pots. These are working perfectly, she hasn’t gone near my pots since I added these. Very easy to install, took minutes to do several.

Wasn't the size I wanted. But cut it down to fit! Keeps my three cats out of the pot. No more large holes and no more sad plants 😀
