**Q: What are the overall dimensions of the shelf unit?**
A: The top shelf if 35.5 inches long and 12.5 inches wide at top.  It is flared on the sides.  The shelf is 1 inch thick and at the top the flat part is 12.5 inches wide and at the bottom of the flare it is 13.5 inches wide.
