Ideal for storing and carrying logs About Willow White Willow is cropped between July and August while the sap is still rising and stripped of its bark straight away without boiling. Buff Willow is cropped mainly during November. It is the most popular and is obtained by boiling the willow. The bark is then stripped from the willow giving a golden colour. Double Steamed Willow is the same as buff except it is boiled twice to give a dark richer colour. Green Willow is willow that has gone through no treatment process. Green stands for its raw state and not always its colour.
