Good knife and very sharp out of the box. It a heavy knife, though, compare to other yanagiba knives from Japan.. The finish is great quality for a under $30 knife. Cut salmon and fish with ease. If youare able to handle a heavy knife than this worth checking into.

At first, I think it is a little heavy. But after couple cuts, it feels very smooth when you do slicing.The sharp tip is another nice part of this knife, you can take the advantage to cut in some narrow spots; especially the joints of bones.

Beautiful knife for the value. GREAT for practice too. Steel type is my only concern especially as a hand sharpener. overall great I’m happy

Oh wow this is a beautiful knife. I have wanted a heavy thin super quality knife for a long time. The box made me want to keep it for an xmas gift but I decided to keep this for myself. It's supreme.

Came as expected. Knife was in a very nuce gift box. Thos is a gift for my daughter so i have not used it.will check in after the holidays

This knife was given to my husband as a gift. The knife is heavy and the blade is thick. It's not very functional because the blade is flat on one side and raised on the other. I get the purpose of it is to fillet fish, but there are better knives out there for that purpose with multi functionality. Too bad we can't return it. It'll probably just sit in the drawer collecting dust.
