RUNmax Pro Weighted Vest 12lbs/ 20lbs/ 40lbs/ 50lbs/ 60lbs with Shoulder Pads Option

I bought this for training during running and to add some weight when climbing stairs. I considered a women's specific version but the prices were crazy. This vest was reasonably priced and had good reviews so I thought I'd give it a try. The first thing I noticed were the extra weights the company included in the package. Granted, they're only sand bags, but it was a nice gesture and makes my 40lb vest a 60lb vest. When I put it on, I noticed the dual straps hold it very securely and lock it down pretty good. I expected a lot more slipping around but it didn't move very much. I was also expecting it to constrict my breathing, a problem I've had with other weight vests. Maybe it's because the sand pouches are softer than solid metal weights, but I actually found this pretty comfortable to wear. I have worn it numerous times for stair climbing and other than the brutal burning in my quads, I hardly noticed it was there. A sure sign it was going its job!!

I bought the 20 pound vest. I’m 5’3” about 125 pounds. I work out from time to time but wanted something for the mornings when I walk my dogs. I thought I should go with the 40 pound so I could work my way up but decided to go with the 20 pound. I have used it a few times now and only on the 10 pound weight, it was the right amount of weight for me.There are 4 pockets in the front and back allowing you to easily slip the 2.5 weights out to adjust it perfect for you. The Velcro that wraps around it is very strong. One long velcroed pocket at the top for your phone and a little spot for a water bottle at the bottom. My boyfriend who is 6 foot wore the 20 pounds for a run, he said it fit pretty snug but did move just a little. He also mentioned he would of gotten more weight for himself however it slowed him down a little.Cons- it’s not the most comfortable on the shoulders without pads. I also wish the arm straps were adjustable. It looks really big on me, I don’t think I would run in it because I wouldn’t be able to make it snug enough.

What I like: the vest is not quite as bulky as I thought it might be. The weights can be evenly distributed on the front and the back. The weights slide in and out of the vest slots fairly easily and have flaps to secure them. Each weight sand bag is contained within a strong nylon shell, so no worry of them tearing and spilling. The price seems reasonable; other weighted vests can cost at least twice as much and do basically the same thing.What I don't like: the velcro belt does not really go low enough, so it is difficult to tightly secure close to the waist. That means the weight can sag onto the floor when doing prone exercises (like pushups or planks). The belt is designed to only be fully by secured around the chest (I have the 40lb vest). It really needs an extra belt or strap for the lower vest, at least one that can optionally be attached. I am a slim guy, the velcro belt does not pull tight enough to prevent this. Also the phone pocket is not really a pocket. It is just the top flap that secures the weight. A phone can slip out of the sides if you are not careful. The optional shoulder pads are thinly padded, and do not attach to the vest at the shoulders; you have to slip them under the vest freely; which means they could slide out of position.

This vest is perfect for weighted training. Personally, I like to use it for power walking on FLAT terrain and short sprints.The material appears to be strong and of quality grade. But if you’re expecting military quality, you will be disappointed.I can honestly say the vest is built strong and it does what it suppose to do, which is condition you over time and make you stronger.Do not overexert yourself in this vest and MAKE SURE you get the shoulder pads! It’s worth the money. Train hard and train safe.I love the product and I highly recommend.

Just posting initial impressions. Seems pretty durable and a good value for the price. Velcro straps are large and should last awhile. If you are used to training with the old school military flak jackets, then this will be right up your alley. If you are used to the new ones or are expecting something akin to a backpacking setup, you will be disappointed. The waist strap is external not internal, so your hips are not bearing any of the load. It is all on your shoulders. You may want to reduce the weight accordingly. Bottom line is your shoulders are going to get tired before your legs, so whether this is a good fit for you really depends on what your focus is.

Exactamente el de la foto, viene con el peso ya incluido. Mido 1.82 mts, peso 115 kgs y no tuve ningún problema con el ajuste, tiene cuatro compartimientos con peso al frente y cuatro atrás, lo que distribuye muy bien la carga.

The vest (40lbs model) works well and appears to be well constructed. It's a very good fit for someone who's male, 6'0, athletic build. Unfortunately, the removable sand weights only weigh 3.15lbs instead of 4lbs. That means my 40lbs vest is only 31.5lbs instead of the 40lbs they advertise.

I'm 5'10" and 200lbs and the vest fits me fine. I bought the 20lb version without shoulder pads and I'm finding it pretty comfortable so far. I only wear it about 10 minutes at a time to overload pull ups. The straps are not digging into my shoulders and the velcro fasteners on each side allow me to keep the vest as snug as I need.

Si lo buscas para correr, definitivamente es recomendable comprar los shoulderpads. Al correr, si no se ajusta bien a tu cuerpo el chaleco se moverá mucho de posición y esto te dejará marcas rojas en los hombros. Si lo buscas para hacer Pull ups o Push ups tal vez sea mejor otro modelo. Con este modelo el peso queda justo sobre el estomago y puede ser incómodo, tal vez quieras pensar en uno cuyo peso recaiga principalmente en el pecho.

De lo mejor. Me probé varios chalecos y revise varios por Internet y este es el mejor y mucho más cómodo. Vale 1000% la pena para aumentar tu fuerza

La verdad todo excelente para los amantes de la calistenia, el único contra que tiene es que cuando haces ejercicios como dominadas y lagartijas con agarre cerrado si te talla algo el bíceps, pero si nada grave, vale al cien la pena y está muy barato. Me cierra muy bien y mi pecho mide 107cm, es ideal para cualquier tamaño de cuerpo

Muy buen artículo, es cómodo y fácil de poner, el extra del porta vasos está coqueto, lo pesos se ponen y se quitan fácil como punto un poco negativo es que para calestenia no es tan cómodo en algunos ejercicios y el velcro araña el Bicep, pero parte de ese punto está muy bien.

Absolutely love this. Have only had it for a few days but it has helped me in my workouts tremendously. Went for a run with it and do stair workouts with it. Im not a tiny person nor am I big, but it fits perfectly. Love the fact that I can add weights to it or decrease. Absolutely love it.

I received a different version of this vest , it looks slightly different then the photo and it doesn't have a place for headphones like this promotes which is disappointing, even though it has the picture of the headphones (in a different place than in the advertised photos).

el chaleco esta bien aunque la calidad del velcro podría mejorar bastante, precio justo por lo que recibes.

el velcro de los hombros puede raspar la piel de los brazos ; útil y fácil de usar
