Sharp Objects
I've been using this food for a while and haven't had any problems. Towards the end of this bag, I noticed that my cat started having bloody stools. I was reading some of the more recent reviews and saw that some people were finding sharp objects in the food, so I started looking through mine as well. I found several pieces of food that had fairly large sharp white objects visible inside the kibble. When I ran my fingers over them, they were very sharp. I'm not pleased to be finding things like this in food that is so expensive. I'm glad I decided to look so I could switch brands before something worse happened.

Not sold in any store around here!
Well, this "*was* my cats' favorite food. I've tried them on a couple of brands & this was the one they liked. Now for some reason, they're not selling it any of my stores. I found it here & had it delivered. Yay! But, when I went to reorder it, I couldn't. I don't know what's going on with it, but since I don't want to have to keep going on a cat food-hunt, I'm just going to mix the rest of this bag with another brand & switch them. Good-bye Goodlife. It was good while it lasted.

YOUR CATS LIFE MAY BE IN DANGER
As many others have mentioned my cat also become deathly ill. Unfortunately it was too late to save her and she passed away a week ago. The last few hours before she died she was puking and s***ting blood. At first we had no idea what could have happened to her then I noticed my other cat starting to get sick too. We searched the whole house trying to find an explanation of why this was happening again. It wasn't until last night that I saw this (picture included) sticking out of a piece of food that it all began to click. I started picking through the cat food (chicken flavor) and crumbling pieces up and found many other hard pieces just like this. They are hard and sharp just like broken plastic. I soaked all of the pieces over night in water to see if they would softened up or dissolve and that I wasn't just over reacting. Well today after 18 hours of soaking the pieces they are still hard and sharp. I couldn't even break or cut them with a sharp knife. They appear to be bone and not plastic like we originally thought. I also found tons of hair sticking out of the pieces of food too. I will NEVER buy this food again. And I hope others will not have to experience what we have either. RIP Sabel

Found a healthy, dry cat food that REALLY controls hairballs ....
Wow, wish we had found this Goodlife cat food years ago. This indoor cat recipe must have just the right amount of fiber in it for my cats because we have almost no more hair balls. Do you know great that is? No more gaging cats and no more cold, wet, squishy stuff under my bare feet when I traverse the house at night, in the dark. Looking forward to having slimmer cats, too, because this food has fewer calories. Our ten cats (rescues) are sitting at their empty food bowls every morning, waiting for their dry food, so we know they like it. We have been feeding this indoor recipe for three weeks. Real chicken is the first / main ingredient and the fiber content helps control hairballs, as I mentioned. Great cat food.

My cat lost his hair
My cat did awful on this - lost a ton of hair and had huge bald patches. Maybe it's an allergy? I was hoping it would be as great as everyone else said, but I guess it can't work well for everyone...

Switched back to Hills
I was feeding my cats Hills Science diet, so with the idea of saving some money I switched over to Goodlife cat food. After the first week of eating this food I noticed my cats (I have three) started throwing the food up along with lots of hairballs piles. I gave it another week and the hairballs just got worse. They cats did love the taste and the price is good. I have already switched back to Hill Science and the hairballs and throwing have nearly stopped all together.

You Need to read this !!!
What other's Say.....good stuff !! but don't use kibble as a main food. Ask Your Vet. , any canned food is better than the best kibble on the market. Cat's need water. Try it !!! Buy a can, then ADD more water to make it soupy..... Keep that Kitty healthy !!! Here's the problem with Goodlife..........there is something in it that makes cats throw up. The ingredients are good.....but lets put this in perspective...........I have 6 house cats, 2 are senior cats that have had bouts of UTI........goodlife has similar ingredients to a UTI specialty food without the salt , which is why I feed it........but I wish Goodlife would address this problem. This is not a "finicky cat issue "..........I can feed Purina complete & have no issues. However, it has poor ingreidients & not suitable for my senior cats. I live on a farm & have a colony of feral cats..........they get fed bulk farm store cat food........mabye one or 2 cats throw up !!! You do the Math !!!

My Cats Love This Food
I love this cat food and so do my 7 cats. No GMO in this cat food which is very important to me. Before I switched to this cat food, my cat's were throwing up everyday. Since they have been on this, they don't throw up. I would highly recommend this cat food. I was able to get it from Walmart but it is hard to find now. All they sell if Rachael Ray Nutrish cat food, and gmo cat food. My cats hated Rachael Ray cat food.I am so happy that amazon sells it. It can also be purchased at chewy.com.
