Review: Buy them - This worked flawlessly
Review: Lisle 44210: How to use - 10/27/23 This tool made it quite easy for me to reattach my parking-brake cable, which I would otherwise have been unable to do. But it would have been nice if there were better documentation so that I would have known whether it would apply in my case before ordering it, and whether I would be able to use it by myself. So, I took a few photos to help others see how it works and how it can be used by a single person. I applied a touch of grease to the spring to help the jaws slide into position, placed the cable against a small piece of 3/4" plywood, and pushed the jaws into the spring as shown in the photos at the top of the review-section. The rest is as easy as screwing up, although I included photos as evidence. Unfortunately, I had to detach the lever from the rest of the shoe-assembly in order to get it onto the cable by myself. So, I had to assemble the shoe assembly after attaching the cable to the lever, which was a pain and required considerable futzing around to figure it out. With someone else to hold the brake shoe assembly and hook the lever over the cable, it would have been far easier.

## Questions & Answers

**Q: Will this work on 2004 jeep WJ**
A: Yes it will worked on my 97 TJ but be aware the tool is very thin and can dig into your hand when you squeeze it so wear gloves and you'll be fine

**Q: Will this work on 2004 Chevy cavalier parking brake cable to get it loose from brake**
A: I believe so, I had a 05' Chevy cavalier.

**Q: Will this work on 2003 Chevrolet Malibu?**
A: I used it for a 2004 Saturn Ion. Most GM cars after 2000 use the same type returm spring. It should work.

**Q: Will this tool work on rear calipers to remove the park brake cable?**
A: Yes, although space may be an issue, especially if the brake hose is still connected to the caliper, or the caliper is mounted to the bracket. Removing it from the bracket at least, is almost always required. I always use a second set of pliers to manipulate the end of the cable, then slide these in to extend the cable out, then use both to pop the cable out of the housing. I will say, the only "easy" way to pull e-brake cables is to simply disassemble the rear parking brake mount from the back of the caliper in pieces. Obviously this only saves time if you are replacing the caliper.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Nice tool could use a version 2 but worth it
*by T***S on October 29, 2023*

Obviously needed for drum brake jobs at my shop, came on time. Only item I could find for the specific purpose I needed. So worth the money. That being said, it is a bit bendy, wobbly, could be better made. Also the ends that slide between the spring and mount point could be thinner. A bit tricky to get in place. But overall money well spent.
