Winkku is a compact device which clips on to any bike and gives the cyclist both a flashing direction indicator and mirror for the first time, together with 'running lights' for night use, positioned on the end of the handlebars for maximum visibility, allowing you to make full use of your bicycle all year round. Winkku, branded by The Guardian (10/10/08) as the 'must have bicycle accessory' has been made possible due to advances in LED (light emitting diode) technology. Winkku comes complete with fitting brackets and a soft carry bag. Winkku's designer, Graeme Bell, has spent the last 20 years designing professionally for the likes of Conran, Land Rover and Malaysian Airlines but turned his attention to cycling after discovering for himself how dangerous commuting by bike on Britain's crowded roads can be. Last year alone, over 2,300 cyclists were either seriously injured or killed on UK roads by other road users (RoSPA). 'LEDs are now so much brighter than just a couple of years ago' explains Bell. Not robust enough to be used on a bike
It's a fun gadget and I also like the idea. It could be useful and increase safety on roads. But it only works properly laying on a table. The materials its is built from are not strong enough to survive the use on a bike for long. The electric parts do not like the shaking and shocks received from the road when mounted on a bike. The unit will soon turn itself off every couple of minutes. After a dozen uses the bracket will simply break as the thin plastic tube has no chance to survive the use of this gadget on normal roads, if you are lucky it will fall down in your garage, if you are unlucky in the middel of the road... When used offroad I would strongly recommend to remove the winkku before as he will most likely break off instantly at the first bump and if you are unlucky hit you in your face.

Very effective but fragile.
In action, it is a very good product, easily visible from the front and behind. Direction winkers (amber) are a bit of a gimmick. Not really needed in daylight but when used at night, the front (white) and rear (red) lights turn off. Whenever I left the bike away from home, I would remove the light; this is awkward and needs considerable strength in the fingers. If the fixing breaks, the whole unit is useless. Having broken one, I am not buying another.

Got one for right hand-side, have only used the temp Velcro fitting so far , but from other reviews could be a good thing, constant removing could be an issue on the joint. but not with the strap. Rear view is really good and gives a clear picture. No more turning the neck right round and great all round. Used for a week now on morning and evening commutes to the station.

I have never seen nothing like it before-it is unique
The Package was easy to open and was a usful gadget to obtain. I can apply it to my bike. I have never seen nothing like it before-it is unique.It was delivered on time and I can say even though it did not come with baterries I thought that was not a problem.The quality of the item is in good working order and I am pleased with it's outcome.

Right handle bike light
Bought this as I got an electric bike and realised that when I wanted to turn right I would have to take my hand off the throttle so would come to a standstill. In the middle of the rd.

Excellent product
Excellent product when fixed into handlebars vision super light great indicators cool. Had Lorry driver stopped me at traffic lights and said all cyclist should be made by law to have one!!

Cheap, brittle plastic.
What a waste of money! Bike fell over (as bikes do) and the unit snapped off. Impossible to repair. Light consigned to the rubbish bin

Arrived as dscdribed. Fitting straight forward. Mirror affords good rear view vision & inicator light very good. LED lights throw a wide arch ahead & to the side.
