Simoke and effective
I've had this pair for 8 years now and they still perform well. I prefer this original version of the Packlite. Blow up and use.The design makes it frest for camping and bug out bags. One is in my bugout bag and one is with my camping gear. However I did notice that one of them isn't as bright as the other. And even in its early days neither of them lasted for very long. Definitely less time than advertised. One star removed because there may have been quality control issues and the light doesn't last very long.

Great one of those really useful things that everyone should have.
You might think this product is a little goofy. They are collapsible blow up LED lights that are solar powered. They are great! You put them out in the sun and then they charge up and you have several levels of power. How much sun they need depends upon where you live and the time of year. To run for 15 hours the one I have needs more than a day (San Francisco area) but even a few hours will give you a long runtime.Great for camping and if you live in an area subject to power outages you really need these. Much better than candles or flashlight. You should always have a couple of these charged up ready for a power outage. The light they give off is very pleasant and they make great night lights. Good toy for kids and of course real handy in the next zombie apocalypse. This is one of those things everyone should have!

Great alternative to flashlights or candles.
These are outstanding for emergencies and I keep one strapped to my backpack at all times. I also have one attached to the back of the rear headrest in my truck and had the occasion to use it once when my trailer lights went out and I was forced to re-wire the connector by the side of the road. My wife also keeps two of them sitting in the window sill of a south facing window of our house for emergency lights. We were a bit hesitant to buy them at first due to the $25 each price tag but after seeing them in action went ahead and picked up several more. Get a few of them....you won't be disappointed.

Good little lights
These lights are pretty good. They charge with very little light, and battery life is very good. I had one issue with one of the lights while camping where the button seemed to temporally stop working, a little annoying but it only happened once. They inflate very easily, the only down side is the inflate valve prevents these from collapsing totally flat causing them to be slightly more bulky than I hoped for. Also I'm a little concerned that as a result of bulk of the valve that in the long term some damage to the solar panel could result from being stuffed in a backpack.

Super product that is overpriced.
I LOVE these lanterns, however I don't love the price. I went to Sportsmans after they came and they have similar backpacking lanterns for about $7 that are the same size or bigger. I LOVED the light they give off and was able to comfortably play cards in the tent at night with the kids. Great product but overpriced.

A bit pricey for what you get
A bit smaller than I expected. They take awhile to charge, and must be in fairly bright sunlight. Output is good and charge lasts for many hours.

The lights are light weight and compact. They have net every expectation. Most recently we had a power failure late at night. One lamp provided more than enough light to illuminate and entire room, and enough to read by without straining get the eyes. A definite must have item every household should have for just such situations.
