Flinthill FHB-285 Archtop Banjo
At first folks you might be skeptical by the prices on these banjos but My self knowing how the Flinthill Line came about from the original Recording King factory, these are exact models just branded under the AXL Music corp. as FlintHill which is owned by Saga Music. But this banjo was Fantastic, the tone was alright out of the box but after a week of tweaking it to my favorite set-up as an Archtop Banjo goes this thing can't be beat by anything else out there anywhere near this price range. This banjo came with a 3 ply maple rim, a pre-war repro archtop tonering and just a real easy and smooth neck up and down the fretboard. I changed the bridge and strings on mine but thats all personal preference as far as that goes. Any negative reviews you read on the other models have to be of someone either not knowing the set-up on the banjo or there could actually have been something wrong with It but whenever working with Amazon.com I always feel safe because if you are not satisfied with it they will cover and handle all the steps for a refund but for myself this is probably the best deal I've ever had on a banjo and Ive owned 8-9 banjos in the last 6-7 years and thats from fenders to recording kings and this takes the cut of being the best out there so far. Along with this is the case which is as nice of a case as ever, as Ive said before you cannot go wrong with this banjo.
