My Baby Nest Baby Carrier, Fresh Lavender, Large/X-Large

I am a baby-wearer and have a few different slings and carriers. i thought this would become my favorite but it isnt even close. Maybe it is not best for a newborn, but it's is too stretchy and loose to feel secure and snug for me or baby. I am 5'5", weight 145 (when not postpartum!) order the med-large as size chart suggests. I never wear a small. Baby is secure inside but slides down into a reclined position, sling bounces too much and doesn't stay close to body when I do things around the house. Maybe it will be better when baby is larger? Hope so.

This is a pretty decent carrier. It is fairly easy to put on (after the initial 60 minute WTF experience I went through trying to make sense of the instructions and trying to extricate myself from the highly effective straightjacket I created), and is quite comfortable.I give it 3 stars because the material is very stretchy. I'm 6 foot, 175lbs, and the M/L size I bought was a little big because of the stretchiness. I mean, it works, but I find myself keeping my hand on my baby frequently because it sags more than I'd like. I'd recommend erring on the side of purchasing a smaller size.Oh, and also, I've found the way that mother has her baby perched high up on her chest in the product photo to be an elusive pipe dream. In my experience, the baby is much lower and angled outward, more utilitarian than utopian. Crude, but relatively effective nonetheless.

I borrowed this wrap from a friend for my third baby for the first month or two and loved it! After that, I switched to my better supported Ergo carrier.For our fourth baby, I bought my own My Baby Nest carrier. I do not wear my baby all the time, but with four small children it is nice to put Baby in the wrap when I am out doing errands or on a family outing. Our newest baby (10 days old) LOVES the wrap. I think she feels swaddled or something because she just sleeps while in it. I love that while it is similar to the Moby wrap, I don't have to mess with 20 yards of fabric to get baby in. The first time you use this wrap, it may seem a bit complicated, but the instructions are clear (IMO) and after the first time, it is easy to get baby in and out (even by myself).The only reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because I think for heavier babies (a couple of months old), this wrap does not offer enough support for mom. I'd absolutely recommend this wrap for newborns, but a more ergonomic carrier for older babies.

Was difficult to figure out how to position baby by yourself, easier when someone was close by to help. May have become easier with practice and when baby is bigger but the baby bjorn works great and is much easier to figure out so I stopped trying this.

My friend recommended this carrier and I am so glad she did! I had a moby wrap before but found it long and hard to 'wrap' up, this takes all the guess work out of the wrap and gives similar support. Because it's in 2 pieces I find it a LOT easier to get baby into and feel that it is secure. I was skeptical of this product thinking that the baby would be able to fall out, but really I don't see how the baby would be anything but completely secure in this carrier. The fabric is incredibly soft, almost like a t-shirt, which is wonderful in the hot summer months. I have had this for a month and use it everyday with no complaints (other than not finding out about this wonderful product sooner!)

I was excited to get this carrier because I've found babywearing to be a bit of a challenge and have been looking for a carrier I can use forward facing with my 20 lb 7.5 month old boy-- well this is not the carrier for that! It did not make babywearing any less of a challenge for me. I tried to use it during a trip last week and it was ridiculous trying to navigate the airport with my baby boy in this-- he was sagging way down with his head almost level with my belly button. And I am not petite by any means. I imagine the good reviews for this item are from people who used it with a newborn, but the maker claims it can be used to 35 lbs, and he's just barely 20 and it was too stretchy to hold him up. I also didn't find it that easy to put on. It doesn't lay flat as shown but bunches up and gets all twisted in back. The extra belt that's supposed to hold the baby in to your body slid down way too easily and did not feel secure. Perhaps it's a great carrier to use with a newborn as pictured, but if you're looking for one for a slightly older baby as I had hoped to use this, you might want to pass. I may still try out a hip carry with it and see if that works any better. I will report back with any update/change of opinion.

I actually sent this product back. - my friend had it and made it look so easy - I wanted it because I didn't have to tie anything - but it just was always uncomfortable and twisted up - I will stick to my front carrier and banana sling from Infantimo

I have tried several baby slings and carriers before purchasing the baby nest. This is the only carrier that i felt safe using with a newborn. It is easy to use and easy to store it is not take a lot of space. I have bought 1 for my husband and 2 for me in different colors i like it so much. Also customer service is excellent. When i first purchased a baby nest I wasn't sure if i purchased the right size. I called and they were very helpful. I also have back and shoulder problems i have not yet found the baby next to exasterbate any of these issues. I found the best price on amazon. You save 30 dollars compared to other places.
