The Ultimate FPV Sim Controller (Linux)
On Linux, this is plug-and-play with drone sims like Liftoff, no BS - it just works. It definitely works just as well on Windows - it's a generic USB joystick, to the computer. The build quality is sturdy, much nicer than junk like the BetaFPV stuff. It's not premium, but it's plenty for simming. No creak or flex, the plastic is quite firm and not at all flimsy. Controls feel precise and are a joy to use. Plenty of switches, buttons, rollers etc. to bind to anything you want.

Works great with Heli-X sim
This works better than my actual radio for use with a simulator. All switches and buttons on it can be assigned with the appropriate radio functions when used with Heli-X simulator software. It's just like flying my real heli with my actual radio controller.

Excellent for flight simulators
I have been using mine with MSFS 2020 and 2024. I love the variety of buttons that can be assigned to anything you want. An excellent controller!

More versatile than other USB controllers
I have owned other USB controllers for RC helicopters and airplanes to include the Futaba style InterLink Elite controller that came with RealFlight 7.5 and ealier versions of RealFlight, RealFlight InterLink-X USB controller, and the AeroFly USB controller. This Spektrum InterLink DX USB controller is the overall best one yet. This InterLink DX controller has many more switches and sliders than the previous RealFlight USB controllers. The spacing between the switches is large enough to accommodate fat fingers. This controller also allows you to adjust the Mode as well as the throttle stick tension, throttle stick ratchet, and gimbal spring tensions without having to take the back cover off.Although I have owned and flown all RealFlight versions from RF5.5 to RF8, I no longer use RealFlight sims (or Phoenix sim). I now use mainly neXt, AccuRC, and Heli-X. This InterLink DX controller works super well with these three simulators and allows me the flexibility to map channel functions to whatever switch(es) I prefer.Like most radios I own and have owned (Spektrum DX8, DX8 Gen2, DX6i, DX18, DX9, Jeti DS14, DS-16, DS-24, VBar Control, and VBar Control Touch), this radio's throttle stick is not very smooth, so I performed the notorious "Teflon modification" with mouse tape, and now the throttle stick is as smooth as the throttle sticks in my >$1,000 radios.I did not give it 5 starts because the gimbals feel particularly flimsy when compared to the InterLink-X and InterLink Elite USB controllers, and the price is very close to the real Spektrum transmitters. The left gimbal (throttle stick) has some "catching" at the top and bottom extremes; I could not get past this issue, so I ended up returning it for a full refund. I have not decided whether or not to purchase a replacement.

Looking to learn FPV flight? Start here!
If you're interested in learning to fly fpv drones, this is for you!Several years ago i dropped $600 on an fpv drone setup. It survived all of maybe 3 minutes in the air before one tiny little finger twitch caused the drone to go full kamikaze into the side of my house. Lesson learned: I'm entirely too financially unstable to learn this hobby in the real world. Then just recently i stumbled across this little gem, decided to look around at options again and purchased 'liftoff' for about $20.In a matter of moments now i can be practicing maneuvers in a perfectly safe, controlled environment. No fear of crashing into some kid's kite. No worry of a dog playing fetch with my crashed quadcopter. No random loss of signal/flyaways. Perhaps best of all: no more wasted money on more broken prop blades!Getting back on track here, at least with regards to use with Liftoff: controls are quite responsive and fast, several of the switches don't appearto do anything (**at least not with my current configuration**) but this seems ideal for learning. Controller is plug & play ready, didn't need to go searching for drivers. All around, this is just a great purchase for doing your toes without all the excess risks and worries.

Spektrum Interlink DX controller
The controller works as advertised, however for the money I could almost buy a functioning Tx? The gymbals are very poorly designed as they aren't really too customizable for stick tension either? But it does work.

This is an awesome controller, worth the price
This is an awesome controller, seems to work on everything for the most part and I even connected it to the SteamDeck and worked with RealFlight great.Worth it.
